The group includes Mario Domm (producer and composer) from Mexico City, Samuel Parra "Samo" (vocalist) from Veracruz and Pablo Hurtado (guitarist) from San Luis Potosí.
The group's name came from a friend's idea of calling the group "Camila" because it means "close to God".
Founded by the award-winning composer, singer and producer Mario Domm (Coahuila, Mexico), Camila made its official debut in 2005 when Domm signed his first record contract with Sony BMG Norte, together with his friends and colleagues guitarist Pablo Hurtado (San Luis Potosí) and Veracruz native Samo. Camila made Todo Cambió (2006) and Dejarte de amar (2010), which gained them success in Latin America.
Songs like “Abrázame,” “Coleccionista de canciones,” “Todo cambió,” “Mientes,” “Aléjate de mí” and “Bésame,” have gained them three Latin Grammy Awards, three Billboard Awards, Diamond and Platinum certifications, and more than two million albums sold worldwide.
Additionally, they have performed in major venues, such as New York's and Los Angeles’ NOKIA, El Coliseo in Puerto Rico, in Barquisimeto, Venezuela (a concert with a hundred thousand people in attendance), el Gran Rex de Buenos Aires, Argentina and Viña del Mar, Chile, and Mexico. The band has also worked with international stars, such as Colbie Caillat, Kenny G, Alejandro Sanz, Alejandra Guzman, Reyli, Chambao, Aleks Syntek, and Wanessa Camargo.
In 2014, Camila launched a third studio album, Elypse. It was be the first album released as a duo since Samo left the group. “Decidiste dejarme,” was the leading single for the album.
Their fourth studio album, 9:30pm, was released in 2019.
Sin Tu Amor

Un amigo más entre el montón
Que solo soy un fan de corazón
Que no te para de soñar
Cada día más
Pero sé también
Que entre la multitud, alguna vez
Para reconocer el amor más fiel
Yo necesito de ti como el aire
Nadie te puede querer tanto así
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
Dame una señal
Un minuto para conversar
Dame tan solo una oportunidad
Para poderte enamorar
Cada día más
Pero sé también
Que entre la multitud, alguna vez
Pudieras ver la luz sobre mi piel
Para reconocer y el amor más fiel
Yo necesito de ti como el aire
Nadie te puede querer tanto así
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
Un poco de tu amor
Para poder vivir
Un poco de tu amor
Me puede hacer feliz
Solo un poco de tu amor
Es lo que pido
The lyrics of Camila's song "Sin Tu Amor" reflect the pain and sorrow of a heartbroken person who is struggling to move on after losing someone they loved. The opening lines, "No hay mas palabras que decir, tampoco historias que contar" (There are no more words to say, no more stories to tell), convey a sense of resignation and acceptance that the relationship has run its course and there is no going back. The singer reflects on how love can be both liberating and fleeting, and how destiny played a role in their separation.
The chorus, "Yo sin tu amor" (Me without your love), is a powerful refrain that captures the emotional turmoil of the singer. The repetition of this phrase reinforces the central theme of the song, which is the notion that love can define us and make us feel whole, but it can also leave us broken and incomplete when it is taken away. The verses that follow explore the regrets and what-ifs that plague the singer, as they imagine what life would have been like if they had fought harder for the love they lost.
Overall, "Sin Tu Amor" is a poignant and heartfelt ballad that speaks to anyone who has experienced the pain of a breakup or the loss of a loved one. The lyrics are simple yet powerful, and the melody is hauntingly beautiful. It is a testament to Camila's songwriting prowess and emotional depth, and it is no wonder that the song has resonated with so many fans around the world.

No hay mas palabras que decir
There is nothing left to say.
Tampoco historias que contar
No stories to tell.
Lo que un día a mi llego
What once came to me.
Hoy ya no esta
Is no longer here today.
Creo que el amor nunca se ve
Love is invisible.
Tan solo pide libertad
It only asks for freedom.
Pero el destino decidió una vez mas
But destiny decided once again.
A poco tiempo de sentir
A short time after feeling.
Que lo eres todo para mi
That you are everything to me.
Yo no puedo mencionar tu nombre
I can't mention your name.
Y saber que estoy aquí
And know that I am here.
Yo sin tu amor
Me without your love.
Estaba a punto de ir a buscarte
I was about to go look for you.
Y entregar de nuevo el corazón
And give away my heart once more.
Estaba apunto de recuperarme y dejar atrás este dolor
I was about to recover and leave this pain behind.
No ha sido fácil aceptar
It hasn't been easy to accept.
Que tu ya no regresaras
That you won't come back.
Como me duele recordar
How it hurts to remember.
Yo sin tu amor
Me without your love.
