During the next two decades Carman changed the face of Christian music and evolved contemporary evangelism into what it is today. Carman established "Carman World Outreach," a non-profit organization that helps touch the lives of literally millions of people worldwide. Billboard Magazine recognized Carman's influence in Christian music by first naming him "Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year" in 1990. He has received numerous gold and platinum albums and videos. Even with all this success, the heartbeat of this Champion for Christ continues to beat strong for the souls of people who need Jesus. As an outflow of this passion, Carman had more than 50,000 people attend his "Music for Peace" crusade in Johannesburg, South Africa. These numbers topped the charts as his largest concert crusade ever, until more than 70,000 people packed the legendary Texas Stadium, making it the largest Christian concert in history.
For over 26 years, Carman has entertained, encouraged and preached the Gospel to millions-crossing denominational, cultural and ethnic lines. During this time, he has never compromised the call to take the Gospel to every person.
Carman died on February 16, 2021 (28 days after his 65th birthday) in a Las Vegas hospital, after a series of complications resulting from surgery to repair a hiatal hernia. He was survived by his ex-wife, five stepchildren and ten step-grandchildren.

About as crazy lunatic, you see
He tried to kill these people on vacation with an axe
Then I'd imagine that this dude was after me
While layin' in my bed that night, afraid and wide awake
I promise you I saw a shadow move
But when I felt an evil spirit, that was it
(And then what happened) I took authority in Christ
(And then what happened) All fear flew away
(And then what happened) I stood bold as a lion, and ran it off when it heard me say
(What did you say)
Don't want no monsters in my house tonight
Don't want no monsters in my house
You won't get me screamin', you're nothing but a demon
It's time for you to go now
I am a temple of the Holy Ghost
And I'm protected by the Lord of Hosts
Get out in the name of Jesus Christ
'Cause I don't want no monsters in my house tonight
On TV there's the creep guy, the alligator man
I watch him as he chases and he hunts
This peaceful family through the woods with only one thing on his mind
He wants to eat their little kid for lunch
I go so weirded out I couldn't sleep, then it happened
An evil spirit floated by my bed
I could hardly believe the nerve of this little punk demon
I thought ayy, all right, that's it, you're dead
(And then what happened) I got righteously indignant
(And then what happened) I's gonna make that demon pay
(And then what happened) The anointing came upon me, I chased it out when it heard me say
The lyrics of Carman's song "No Monsters" narrate the story of a young boy who, after being exposed to scary media, becomes afraid of the possibility of a monster or evil spirit in his house. The boy, however, employs his faith in Jesus Christ to overcome the fear and take control of the situation. The chorus suggests that the boy is determined not to allow any monsters in his house and assertively commands them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ.
The song highlights the need for faith and courage when confronted by our fears, just as the young boy in the story found refuge in his faith to overcome his fear of monsters. The story also serves as a metaphor for the spiritual forces we face in life and how having faith and invoking the name of Jesus can help us face and conquer those forces.
Carman's "No Monsters" is a gospel song that employs a storytelling approach to address the theme of fear and faith. The song consists of two stanzas complemented by a repetitive chorus that not only drives the song's message but also makes it catchy and easy to sing along.

Funny thing about this song is it was one of my absolute favorites of Carman as a child. I liked the monsters and was not scared of them.
The alligator monster especially. π π
I remember my dad singing this as a half-joke being upset concerning my monster obsession back in the 2000s. Yes. The golden age of PokΓ©mon. π€£
I honestly still really love monsters. I don't think that'll ever change... π
This and the Satan Bite the Dust, and God Is Exalted video are the most memorable out of them all to me. I hold them close to my heart as the best Christian music videos of all time.
