The song "I and I" by Chezidek explores themes of herbalism, environmentalism, and the celebration of natural gifts. The repetitive chorus emphasizes the artist's dedication to growing and consuming high-quality marijuana, also known as "high-grade." This activity is referred to as his "trade," implying that it is an essential part of his lifestyle.
In the verses, Chezidek identifies himself as a herbalist who enjoys smoking ganja (chalice). He highlights his love for the environment and his commitment to burning cannabis, adding that it is a natural gift and a creation of the earth. By standing in a wispy cloud of cannabis smoke, he rebels against those who criticize or try to diminish the significance of using marijuana. He suggests that those who oppose its use cannot hold him accountable for their narrow-mindedness or ignorance.
Chezidek expresses a deep connection to nature, stating that he lives amongst birds, bees, and trees. He takes pride in defending the environment, ensuring no pollution intrudes on the gentle breeze. He tills the soil, plants organic herbs, and does not rely on fertilizers. By embracing the natural elements and nurturing his garden, he establishes a harmonious relationship with the Earth. The lyrics convey a strong message against chemical dependency and the negative impact it has on the environment.
The song also addresses societal issues, calling for the eradication of polluters and drug dealers. Chezidek urges society to reject those who harm the atmosphere and instead embrace herbalists, environmentalists, and italists (those who follow a natural and holistic way of life). By empowering these individuals, he believes that positive change can occur, creating a cleaner and more sustainable world.
Overall, "I and I" celebrates the artist's role as a herbalist, promoting the benefits of natural herbs and cannabis. Chezidek expresses his love for the environment, advocating for the protection of nature and rejecting harmful influences.
