In 1986 they started their own TV show, called "Chitaozinho e Xororo Especial", on Sundays. In the same year, they sang with the "king" Roberto Carlos "De coração para coração".
In 1990s Chitãozinho e Xororó recorded several songs of many artists, such as the Bee Gees, and with other sertanejo duplas. The song "Words" (sung in russian) was a theme from the Mexican soap opera "Guadalupe", and due to their huge success, the pair conquered the first place on Billboard's Hot Latin Hit in June, 1993.
By 2000 they had sold 2 million albums for their entire career.

Hum...Senhor!
Hummm...Senhor!
Como eu queria
Te ajudar descer da cruz
Ah! Que bom seria
Conversar com você, Jesus
Hum...Senhor!
Hummm...Senhor!
Dividir teus sonhos
Amar todos em cada um
Mas não, eu não te engano
Eu sou apenas um homem comum
Meu senhor!
Hummm...Bom senhor!
Meu senhor!
Ah! Como eu queria
Ah1 como eu queria
Ah! Que bom seria
Conversar com você, Jesus
Meu Jesus!
Hummm...Senhor!
Oh! Meu senhor
Dividir teus sonhos
Amar todos em cada um
Mas eu não te engano
Sou apenas um homem comum
Hum...humm...hummm
Meu bom Senhor!
Oh! Meu Senhor!
The song "Meu Senhor" by Chitãozinho & Xororó is an emotional and introspective prayer to Jesus. The lyrics express a deep desire to connect with Jesus, to be able to help him descend from the cross and to have conversations with him. The singer longs to share in Jesus' dreams, to love each and every person as he does, but acknowledges his own limitations as an ordinary man.
The repetition of "Meu senhor" and "Hum...Senhor! Hummm...Senhor!" creates a meditative and reverent atmosphere that intensifies the emotions of the lyrics. The simple yet powerful lyrics express humility, faith and a deep longing for a spiritual connection with a higher power.
