In a world full of trendy methods and catchy sounds, ClaAs sits in the middle of this vast repetitive wasteland, searching to find the right home for his dysfunctional family of songs. Hailing from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas, ClaAs grew up all over the country within a family based through the Military. Learning to pick up new styles and making new friends became an easy staple that ClaAs to this day sticks with, not only has he adapted his music to fit himself and his life, but he has learned to create his own fan base and his own followers through his own methods. With no help from radio, television or publication and what seems to be none coming anytime soon, ClaAs presses on his own path making fans along the way in every city he travels to. Within a genre that pops up more new characters than a Childrens Book, ClaAs has continued to stray away from the everyday sounds and methods of those who are “making it”. Seeing the Industry as a place chalked full of garbage and just a hint of potpourri he also sets his sights on becoming a main staple in the anti-industry movement known to the Underground as F.T.I (Fuck the Industry) which has been more recently promoted by Underground heavyweights such as TechN9ne and Kottonmouth Kings. ClaAs sees himself as the next in line to push this movement to the forefront, showing this within his vast array of songs. Still technically new to this game, having only been in it for 4 years, ClaAs has already surpassed many goals he had set forth, in a small amout of time. One of the funniest things is, while ClaAs promotes and pushes an Anti-Industry way of Hip Hop, the Industry seems to come knocking at the Door, with ClaAs doing shows with Mainstream artists such as Mike Jones, Ludacris, Slim Thugg, E40 and more. Which goes to show that somewhere out there in this dead zone we know as hip hop, there still are people looking for the real Artists, the Artists out to make their own name, without telling you who they know. To this day ClaAs has put out 2 albums, an Ep, has appeared on many Artists albums, and has been featured on several Mixtapes and Compilations. ClaAs proves he has a love for the Underground on his 2 full length albums, neither of which contain any mainstream artists, both albums are highly regarded and show some of the best talent the Underground has to offer and this is just the way ClaAs likes it, cause as he sees it, why go after those who have already made it when you can try and help others who haven’t when you succeed. in 2006, ClaAs released a completely free full length album entitled "Celebrity Death", via several internet outlets such as myspace.com and faygoluvers.net. This free album went on to recieve over 50,000 downloads on those 2 sites combined in less than 2 months and didnt count the several free album websites and message boards all over the net that also had the album up for grabs, proving that ClaAs had made an impression on the Underground world of music and was slowly moving up the music ladder. Its odd how someone who openly admits he no longer listens to most hip hop, can do so well in the hip hop genre. ClaAs being a big fan of Nu-Metal, Emo and Indie Rock has also used these genres to help motivate his own music, through some sounds, lyrics and even his stage shows, as it is known that ClaAs performs with so much energy that you would think there were 4 other members behind him pumping out the sound. ClaAs stayed on the road in 2006 doing shows all over the country with artists such as Insane Clown Posse, Kottonmouth Kings, Rehab, Techn9ne, F.I.L.T.H.E.E Immigrants and more, not only being part of great hip hop shows, but even doing shows that contained nothing but rock bands and him and doing big music festivals such as The Gathering of the Juggalos 2006 with Psychopathic Records. ClaAs has hopes to eventually get on a festival type tour like Warped Tour and has even said he would love to tour with groups like My Chemical Romance and Senses Fail since he knows it would be a wild mix of music and would merge fans of such diverse music styles together. The fact that ClaAs loves and lives for trying to show other genre lovers that music can be universal is a far stretch from the corporate money machines that hate downloading cuz it takes away from their profits. ClaAs proves that music is music no matter what the mass media segregates it as being. He is definitely a different kind of rap artist and one day the world will see…
