My older brother passed away on 08-07-2021. His heart just stopped. My brother just close his eyes and went to be with The Lord. He was a special needs individual but was able to experience having a job, money, savings and purchasing, a girlfriend or 2, and the neverending love from his mother and father and his 8 siblings. Ever since the first time I heard this song as a child it always reminded me of him. He lived 68 years and his name was Michael. I can see him enjoying his new life with The Lord with a fresh new body and mind.

He had 7 brothers and 2 sisters and tons of nephews and nieces. He was part of an old school Texas style Hispanic familia lol. Although I was the youngest, he was my mom's baby. He passed away shortly after my mother did.

The last time I remember hearing this was in 1973 when I was 3 with my father in the car on the radio. The tune stuck with me in my head for 50 years. I hummed it into google song recognition and this is what I found. I always wanted to hear it again. Catchy tune. Thank you to God.

I was born in 1960, and I am so thankful that I grew up listening to songs that you can actually understand the words, sing along, remember them years later, and get your grand kids listening to good music!!! I use to sing this song constantly to my son Michael & Stevie when they were little - I would change Stevie for the name Cindy. My Stevie passed away from cancer on 2009. Twice on the way to visit his cemetary (on his birthday), this song came on the radio unexpectedly. I was shocked. I had never heard this song before on the radio, so this was really very unusual. I felt that he was letting me know that he was here.

Oh Elizabeth, that brought tears to my eyes. I started singing at a young age, not quite 3 years old, and the first songs I learned were Playground in My Mind and Top of the World. We had the 45s of both. Throughout my childhood, I'd pull out my scratched little record of this song and would listen to it, even though it sounded awful. But until Youtube, that was the only way I could hear it. After about 1974, I don't remember ever hearing it on the radio. Stevie sent you such a clear message. I know it had to give you some comfort at a time when you needed it most. I'm so sorry about your sweet boy. One day you'll get to sing to him again. ♥️

Teddonna I get the same feeling when I hear this song. I remember hearing this on my friend's older brother's transistor radio that had a leather surround which made his radio even cooler back then. It gives me early seventies childhood memories in the summer. Thankful for Soundhound. I woke up one morning with this tune going through my head. No words, just the tune. Couldn't make it stop and couldn't remember where it was from.

And let me tell you I am crying because I am so relieved to finally know what song it is. It was buried very deep in my psyche, apparently. I sound mental. And probably am just a little bit about this song; the relief I feel right now is really hard to put into words. So when this song came out, I would’ve been about seven years old and I don’t think I’ve heard it since the 70s but it’s been taunting me for about five years now!!! finally, I know, or rather finally I remember. Thank you, Google, for the most annoying earwig in my life, finally solved.

I have loved this upbeat song ever since I heard it many years ago, I still love it to this day! Memories!!!! I now have a 3 yr. old grandson with another grand baby on the way, so sweet & precious, in many ways has kept me going after life threw me so many 'curve balls' I never saw coming. I love songs that are as far back as the 50's (I was born in 57). Music has many times lifted me as well. Thanks to all the wonderful artists.
