Heimwee
Coenie De Villiers Lyrics

En my hart skiet vol van heimwee en my drome swem in my oë
En my hart skiet vol van heimwee en my drome swem in my oë
The song Heimwee by Coenie De Villiers is a powerful expression of longing for a simpler and quieter life outside the constant hustle and bustle of the city. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of the artist's yearning for the open spaces of the countryside, away from the noisy sounds of the city and the relentless pursuit of money. He longs for a life where the soul can flourish in the freedom of the wide-open spaces, where there is a deeper understanding of life.
The imagery used in this song is striking, as it depicts the sun shining on the fields and the blue mountains in the distance. The artist speaks of his heart being filled with nostalgia and his dreams swimming in his eyes, as he pictures himself in the midst of the stunning beauty of nature. He reflects on the reason why the sadness in his songs is so gentle, as he gazes up at the sky, yearning for the warmth of the sun on his face.
Heimwee expresses the universal human longing for a simpler life, a life in which there is more time for contemplation and reflection, and where the beauty of nature can be appreciated in all its splendor.
