Late night watching TV
Used to be you here beside me
Used to be your arms around me
Your body on my body

When the world means nothing to me
Another's arms, another's arms
When the pain just rips right through me
Another's arms, another's arms

Late night watching TV
Used to be you here beside me
Is there someone there to reach me?
Or someone there to find me

When the pain just rips right through me
Another's arms, another's arms
And this's just torture to me
Another's arms, another's arms

Pull yourself into me
Another's arms, another's arms
Love means nothing to me
Another's arms, another's arms

Got to pull you close into me
Another's arms, another's arms
Pull yourself right through me
Another's arms, another's arms

Late night watching TV
Wish that you were here beside me

Wish that your arms were around me
Your body on my body

Overall Meaning

Coldplay's "Another's Arms" is a sad ballad of heartbreak, sung in Chris Martin's hauntingly beautiful voice. The lyrics are about a broken relationship and the feelings of loneliness and desperation that come with it. In the first verse, Martin sings about how he used to have his partner with him while watching TV, holding him and making him feel loved. He then describes how the world doesn't mean anything to him anymore, and how he needs the comfort of another's arms to get through the pain.

The chorus of the song repeats the sentiment of the first verse, emphasizing how much Martin needs the embrace of someone else to get through his heartbreak. He sings about how it feels like torture when he is alone, and how love no longer means anything to him. In the second verse, he wonders if there is someone out there who can reach him or find him, reaching out in desperation for someone to ease his pain.

Overall, "Another's Arms" is a poignant reflection on the destructive nature of a failed relationship and the emptiness that follows. Martin's emotive vocals perfectly capture the longing and desperation of the lyrics, making it a compelling and relatable song for anyone who has ever experienced heartbreak.

Lyrics ❤️
Some saw the sun
Some saw the smoke
Some heard the gun
Some bent the bow
Sometimes the wire
Must tense for the note
Caught in the fire, say oh
We're about to explode
Carry your world
I'll carry your world
Carry your world
I'll carry your world
Some far away
Some search for gold
Some dragon to slay
Heaven we hope
Is just up the road
Show me the way, Lord
'Cause I am about to explode
Carry your world
I'll carry your world
Carry your world
I'll carry your world
Carry your world (Carry your world)
And all your hurt
Carry your world
Carry your world

I remember when Catching Fire came out, and this song played at the beginning for the credits. Usually you see people start to leave the theater, but no one moved! Everyone was listening to the song and watching the credits. It's a beautiful song, and Coldplay did a great job. It was a perfect song to end the movie!

Yes, I was so blown away. It fit perfectly with the ending and it's on itself a great song. Also, the next to songs ("Again" by "Abby" and "Silhouettes" from "Of Monsters and Men") were so amazing! I stayed until the end of all 3 songs 😍
