In da Lederhosn steh i do
Mittn in Manhattan wo i nu nia woa
De Leut schaun grantig
Des Bier schmeckt hantig
Do wiad ma kloa wen an koana kennt stellt ma si vor
Und i sing

I kimm ausm Landl Tirol
De Berg so hoch und tiaf es Tal
I vermiss mei Dahoam olle mol
Mei Hoamatlaund, mei Hoamatlaund Tirol

Da größte Mensch im Lokal
Kommt zu mir her auf amal
De Leut san netter, des Bier schmeckt better
Es sagt: „Griaß Gott I kim ausn Stubaital“
Und er sogt

„I kimm ausm Landl Tirol
De Berg so hoch und tiaf es Tal
I vermiss mei Dahoam olle mol
Mei Hoamatlaund, mei Hoamatlaund Tirol“

Und wann ma heit ana kimmt
Und mir erklärt, dass hoamat nix bringt
Dann nimm ihn mit
Für a paar Schritt
Und zwoa so laung bis er mit mir singt
Und i sing

I kimm ausm Landl Tirol (i kimm ausm Landl Tirol)
De Berg so hoch und tiaf es Tal (de Berg so hoch und tiaf es Tal)
I vermiss mei dahoam olle mol (I vermiss mei dahoam olle mol)
Mei Hoamatlaund, mei Hoamatlaund Tirol

I kimm ausm Landl Tirol
De Berg so hoch und tiaf es Tal

I vermiss mei Dahoam olle mol
Mei Hoamatlaund, mei Hoamatlaund Tirol

Overall Meaning

In the song "Tirol" by DJ Ötzi, the singer starts by stating that he is standing in Manhattan wearing his traditional lederhosen from his home in Tirol. The people around him are looking at him with disapproval, and the beer he is drinking doesn't taste the same as it does back home. However, he misses his homeland, with its high mountains and deep valleys. He then meets the tallest person in the bar, who introduces himself as being from Stubaital, another region in Tirol. The two join in singing the refrain, in which the singer expresses his longing for his homeland.
