Dedication 2 (Gangsta Grillz) released in 2006 with heavily crunked out remixes of popular hits courtesy of Drama and lyrics provided by Wayne along with a slew of many of other rappers. The mixtape featured many artists that were currently signed to Waynes label, Young Money. Among them were Curren$y, Remy Ma, Freeway, Willie The Kid, Detroit Red, Juice, Mack Maine, Pharrell and Juelz Santana delivering raw intensity with phenomenal flow. Assisting Drama with production were Don Cannon, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Infamous, Swizz Beatz, Pimp C, and many more. Tom Breihan of The Village Voice proclaimed it the best summer album of 2006, praising DJ Drama's "impeccable beat selection". "SportsCenter" was complimented for its "free associating brain bursts." "Georgia... Bush" was also acclaimed for its "mesmerizing indictment" of President Bush.
Following up in the Dedication series yet again, Drama and Wayne release Dedication 3 (Gangsta Grillz) in 2008. Although Dedication 3 was a major success, it failed to match that of its predecessors but did gain some attention. The mixtape has sold over 70,000 copies in the United States, despite being available for free download. Besides the interludes, a majority of the mixtape has Wayne using auto-tune. Wayne continued to promote his own artists on this album. Returning MC's consisted of Willie the Kid and Mack Maine along with newcomers like Drake and Nicki Minaj. Returning producers included Don Cannon and Pimp C. Production was also assisted by newcomers like Soulja Boy and David Banner.
While both Drama and Wayne have continued their own respective careers, it has been said that Dedication 4 is in the works.

We would shine, you would keep on your side
You would teach me how to ride
And you would teach me how to pride
Then we'd get on the line
And go over our lines
We were in the same position
And that's when you changed position, shit
And it's strange but I never forget ya
Though that ain't you with them bitches homie
And I know that ain't you
Wit that dissin on me, that's why I
Never replied and never will
Just let em live phony
If ya ever died, I swear to God
I got yo kids homie
What's mine is theirs, I gotta give homie
And yea we still a army in this bitch homie
Yeah Cash Money still the shit homie, shit
Homie! What's really real is you feelin me n
That Hot Boy shit still in me n
Word to giggity n
And I ain't got time to speak the history
I miss you and I know you missin me, Gizzle
But
Man, I miss my dawgs, many nights club poppin
Many nights we were blowin trees
Many nights we were hustlin
Man I miss my dawgs
Me and you through thick and thin
Me and you through the very end
For only you I'll sin again
Man, I miss my dawgs, many nights club poppin
Many nights we were blowin trees
Many nights we were hustlin
Man I miss my dawgs
Me and you through thick and thin
Me and you through the very end
For only you I'll sin again
These lyrics to DJ Drama and Lil Wayne's song "Miss My Dogs" reflect on the strong bond between friends and the nostalgia and longing for the past. The lines evoke a sense of reminiscing and a deep connection shared between the singer and their friends.
In the first paragraph, the singer expresses missing the times when they were close with their friends. They remember how their friends taught them important skills like riding and instilling a sense of pride. They would practice and rehearse together and were in the same position in life. However, the singer acknowledges that their friend has changed, but they have remained the same. Despite the differences, the singer still values and misses their friend, even countering any negative actions or words directed towards them.
The second paragraph further deepens the sense of missing their friends. The singer reflects on the times they spent together, clubbing, smoking marijuana, and hustling. Through thick and thin, the singer remained loyal to their friends, willing to sin again for their sake. The repetition of the line "man, I miss my dawgs," emphasizes the emotional void created by the absence of these cherished connections.
These lyrics depict a strong sense of loyalty, camaraderie, and shared experiences. The singer acknowledges the changes that have occurred but still holds onto the memories and deep bonds they had with their friends. There is a sense of unspoken understanding and support, with the singer even expressing a willingness to take care of their friend's children if anything were to happen to them. Overall, the lyrics convey a deep sense of longing, nostalgia, and love for their friends, who are sorely missed.
