From Tragedy
DJ Krush Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Y'know what i'm saying
Everybody. Everybody just like robots right now,
Like zombies ain't no love out there
I think the future gon be a scary thing
But y'know, gotta get ready for it, y'know what i'm saying
If you, if you ain't trying to get ready for it then just get high, get big, y'know what i'm saying and let it come or go - whatever
That's my fucking philosophy on the future
In this verse from DJ Krush's song "From Tragedy," the singer expresses a sense of disconnection from the world around them. They feel that there is no love to be found, and everyone is moving through life like robots or zombies. The singer also speaks to their fears about the future, describing it as a scary thing. Despite this fear, the singer knows that they must prepare for what's to come instead of just trying to escape reality through drugs or other means.
There's a sense of sadness and resignation in these lyrics, as the singer seems to be acknowledging the harsh realities of the world they live in. They feel isolated and disconnected from those around them, and the future seems uncertain and frightening. However, there's also a note of determination in their words. They refuse to give up and just let life happen to them, instead seeking to actively prepare for whatever might come their way. Overall, this verse captures a complex mix of emotions - sadness, fear, determination - that many of us can relate to when considering our own lives and the wider world.
