Para terminar
En un punto tan neutral
Todo acabó
La noche estalló
Ya no hay marcha atrás
Sólo quedó el camino y tu voz
Como un sol
Vives
Sólo piensas en el hoy
Tu voz
The song "Domingo" by DLD speaks of a relationship that has ended, but the singer has come to a place of acceptance. The lyrics describe the journey of the relationship, symbolized by the phrase "tanto rodar" (so much rolling), which ultimately ends up at a "punto tan neutral" (such a neutral point). The night explodes and there's no going back. All that remains is the path and the voice of the other person, which is described as a "sol en domingo" (sun on a Sunday).
The singer is living in the present, only focusing on today to the point that they are compared to a voice that feels like a hundred needles piercing through. The affection that once existed has died, and they are okay with it. They convince themselves that it's fine, that the world is small and it's okay to say that they will never return. The only hope they hold on to is the passion that still exists, but time is running out.
The song has a melancholic feel, but it's not a song of despair. It's sung with the understanding that things can end, but life goes on. It's a reminder that the past is essential to the present, but one shouldn't dwell on it.
