The beast
The temperamental goat
The snail while he's feeding on
the Rose
Stay frozen, compromising
What I will
I am
Bend around
The wind silently
thrown about
Again I'm treading so
Soft and lightly
Compromising my will
I am
I am
I will
So no longer
Will I
Lay down
Play dead
Play your doe
in the headlights locked down
and terrified
Your deer in the headlights
shot down and horrified when
Push comes to pull comes to shove
Comes to step around this
Self-destructing dance that never
would've ended till I
Rose,
I roared aloud here
I will
I am.
I am
I will
So no longer
Will I
Lay down
Lay dead
Play this
Kneel down
Gun-shy Martyr
Pitiful
I rose, I roared
I will
I am
The song "Rose" by Da Capo Players talks about not allowing anyone to disturb you and compromise your will, much like a temperamental goat or a snail feeding on a rose should not be disturbed. The lyrics speak of the singer treading softly and compromising their will, but they come to a realization that they will no longer lay down and play dead like a deer in the headlights. The singer is done with being a gun-shy martyr and has risen up, roared, and taken control of their life.
The lyrics are full of metaphors that represent the singer's journey towards self-discovery and possibly even self-empowerment. The temperamental goat represents how the singer may feel at times, and the snail feeding on the rose represents how they may feel vulnerable and easily hurt. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been compromising their will for a long time, but now they are no longer willing to do so.
Overall, "Rose" is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt powerless or compromised in any way. It speaks to those who have felt like they've been playing dead or who have been afraid to ultimately take control of their lives.

Thanks for doing these. Can you mix the audio better on these video? the flute hides everything when it plays in this episode. Some episodes sound great. Some not at all. Don’t know if there is something you can do to improve the process.
