Sweat
Da Capo Players Lyrics

And breathing
And staring and thinking
And sinking
Deeper.
It's almost like I'm swimming.
The sun is burning hot again
On the hunter
And he's trying to remember when,
But it makes him dizzy.
Seems like I've been here before.
Seems so familiar.
Seems like I'm slipping
Into a dream within a dream.
Must be the way you whisper.
The sun is setting cool again.
I'm the thinker
And the fisherman
And I'm trying to remember when
But it makes me dizzy.
And I'm sweating,
And breathing,
And staring and thinking
And sinking
Deeper
And it's almost like I'm swimming.
Seems like I've been here before.
Seems so familiar.
Seems like I'm slipping
Into a dream within a dream.
It's the way you whisper.
It drags me under
And takes me home.
The lyrics to Da Capo Players' song "Sweat" describe a person who is sweating and breathing heavily, almost as if they are swimming. The sun is hot, and they are sinking deeper into their thoughts, possibly lost in memory or daydreaming. The singer also mentions feeling dizzy and struggling to remember something, but cannot quite grasp what it is.
The repetition of the phrases "seems like I've been here before" and "seems so familiar" suggest that the singer is experiencing a feeling of dΓ©jΓ vu. They feel like they are slipping into a dream within a dream, which could be interpreted as feeling that they are living in a surreal or unreal reality. The way that someone is whispering to them is also significant, as it seems to have the power to pull them under and take them home.
The overall tone of the lyrics is dreamy and introspective. The singer seems to be lost in thought and uncertain about their surroundings. The lyrics also hint at a longing to feel grounded or anchored, but the person's thoughts and memories keep pulling them away.
