Due to differing points of view regarding the musical direction for the next Dark Moor album, vocalist Elisa Martin, guitarist Albert Maroto and drummer Jorge Sáez decided to leave Dark Moor to start a new band.

On 21 July 2018, Enrik Garcia, guitarist and founder of the band, announced via Facebook that their next album would be called Origins and that, after the parenthesis they did with ufology themes on Project X, they would return to their habitual themes; Origins will be about the celtic world, also adding celtic instruments on their new songs. This album has been released on 12 December 2018.
The Emperor
Dark Moor Lyrics

The Emperor masters
The Emperor's always the master
When coming is the disaster
The Emperor masters
When will must overrun faster
The Emperor masters
...The will is the law
Do not quit nor withdraw...
Just the Emperor can
Lead to succeed the man
Encouraging him with force and power
It's a need to withstand
By the strength of the hand
All in this life
Is a violent strife
When coming is the disaster
The Emperor masters
When will must overrun faster
The Emperor masters
The Emperor guards the order
He's the inner warder
He establishes firm the border
He's the inner warder
He has got the power to reinforce us
To reach goals
Inside he's the father who controls
(He plays ever to win
He has the might within)
He is who'll make the rule
When conquers the world in a bitter fray
And holds on and leads the pain away
He subdues and renews
He restores the peace
The Emperor absorbs
The world in his orb
Everything is taken
...The will is the law
Do not quit nor withdraw...
Just the Emperor can
Lead to succeed the man
Encouraging him with force and power
It's a need to withstand
By the strength of the hand
All in this life
Is a violent strife
When coming is the disaster
the Emperor masters
When will must overrun faster
the Emperor masters
The Emperor guards the order
He's the inner warder
He establishes firm the border
He's the inner warder
It's written in his soul
To obtain soon his goal
When coming is the disaster
the Emperor masters
When will must overrun faster
the Emperor masters
The Emperor guards the order
He's the inner warder
He establishes firm the border
He's the inner warder
The Emperor...
The Emperor...
The Emperor...
The Emperor...

The lyrics of Dark Moor's song "The Emperor" are a homage to the notion of an all-powerful, superior ruler who can lead humanity to overcome any challenge. The song's main message is that, in moments of crisis and destruction, the only person who can guide society to success is the Emperor. The lyrics emphasize that he is the master, the one who absorbs the world in his orb, establishes borders, and guards the order. He has the power to reinforce people's confidence in themselves and their goals and lead them to victories.
The song continuously repeats that the will is the law, urging people to never quit or withdraw during times of difficulty, but instead let the Emperor guide them to overcome them. The lyrics show the Emperor as a firm but also encouraging leader, who thrives to win, controls pain, and restores the peace. He is almost portrayed as a father figure who protects his children and instills in them the strength to endure the violent strife that life can be.
Overall, the song's lyrics are a tribute to the idea of a supreme leader, a figurehead to guide humanity through difficult times and achieve victories that would be impossible otherwise.
