Chapel Of Love
Darlene Love Lyrics

Goin' to the chapel and we're
Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel and we're

Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're
Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel of love

Spring is here, the sky is blue
Whoa, birds all sing as if they knew
Today's the day we'll say, "I do"
And we'll never be lonely anymore
Because we're

Goin' to the chapel and we're
Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel and we're

Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're
Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel of love

Bells will ring, the sun will shine
Whoa, I'll be his and he'll be mine
We'll love until the end of time
And we'll never be lonely anymore
Because we're

Goin' to the chapel and we're
Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel and we're

Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're
Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel of love

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Goin' to the chapel of love
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Goin' to the chapel of love

Darlene, you'll go down in history as the most under-acknowledged, most talented R&B singer I've ever heard.

I wish this version would've been released in the 1960's. This song is very cool. Maybe some movie director will put this version in his/her next movie

Rik Silvas

A little late on the reply but I actually put this song as the credits song for my Short Mob Film.

Love this rendition! She really makes it a completely different song than the Dixie Cups' terrific hit version. Although the Ronettes' recording is well known, did the actual (La La-fronted) Crystals also record this? Thanks

Terrence Pickett

This version and the Ronettes' version were both recorded in 1963. The Ronettes' version was an album track. Darlene's version was not released until the early 1990s.

@DLfanatic01 Wow I didn't realize she did all the voices! Thanks for the info!! :DD I like this version and the Ronettes version best :)

Darlene is harmonizing with her sister Edna Wright here; they also sang "Wait Till My Bobby Gets Home" together.
