Dying laughing. I cannot tell you how many times I've made this plea on technical channels where something was being demonstrated. Instead of narration/discussion of whatever object was engineered the video consists of shots of the item being built then assembled. While the video was top notch in most cases, not having narration of the process, what went well, what was difficult, etc... it was essentially useless (in my eyes). Which, is the point here that I'm getting from the comments below. So, second part, in this case the narration and illustration is spot on but you find the background music distracting and I'll guess annoying (as some others have said). While some had no problem with it at all. I'd offer up one solution to this. Reduce the volume on the background music and very carefully select the piece based on pace and how well it fits the topic, timber and flow of the speaker. All of this is no small task and no doubt whatever piece is selected there will be some that don't like it. For me most usually it's an endlessly repetetive loop of something annoying. However, and my last plead here I'd say is if you are going to utilize background tracks, bring the volume down too about 30% of the narration. I cannot tell you how many times I've had troubles hearing the speaker over the music. This also goes for sound fx and music in movies/films....

Hey, I am a former Air Force Captain, Finance Officer (ROTC from University of Miami) now I fly Black Hawks for the Army, as a Warrant Officer. I totally agree with your statment "If you arent doing it right now, then you will probably not do it in the future." I had to make a change and do it otherwise I would be stuck in a cubicle my whole life. Great stuff... did you serve in the Air Force after your time at the academy or were you an international student?

By all the time and the world, to those that say they would spend their money on more useless items, this is exactly what he is trying to change. Changing the mentality of a boy (one who spends money on liabilities) to that of a man (one who spends on assets, including but not limited to knowledge). Finding your life's purpose basically means making the world a better place than you left it.

if I had all the money and time in the world. I find my grandpa's life the best. he use to wake up eat a nice breakfast. sit along side the road watch traffic and his friends would come by here and there. just enjoying the beauty of life. he never had a terminal illness in his life, never worked too worked. lived till he was 90+. died the way I would prefer to die(without illness and easy death).

I got shivers down my spine at least three times watching this video. Thank you so much for this. The "live as is your dad is dead" part really got me; my dad died two years ago and left me with the advice of "Don't go into business, become a doctor," because he went into business on wall street instead of finishing his career in cancer research when his grant went away. Well, I'm 17 and pursuing business with a distaste for the medical field (probably because he pushed me that way hard). Not being a continuation of someone else's life was great to hear, and solidified my feelings about entrepreneurship. Thank you.

I'd imagine everyone else had this same predicament, and everything that needs to be done to keep a civilization running stops being done, I would live in a world of chaos (and apparently hyperinflation) and I'd try to go back to cleaning my room, because it costs me 1 million dollars to ask someone else to do it for me.

@FightMediocrity Thanks for posting! I love the animation, however; you had a lot of discipline ingrained into your person from military school and college. You also have a wealth of information present inside you from getting an MBA. I don't think you appreciate this or consider how well you would fare in absence of these things that contributed to making you into the person you are. Everything requires sacrifice, a good portion of this details the sacrifices you made to get to where you are, even if they were made to please your parents. You probably would be the guy working a shitty job like a zombie had you just quit.

Richard Branson and Steve Jobs have no degrees.
Degrees can be useful - especially in the sciences. But even there... the discoverer of the human genome was home schooled and did not go to uni..

Tertiary learning will be done piecemeal on the net in the future... a lot cheaper and avoids the " golden ticket" mentality.

If I had all of the money and time in the world, I'd find a well-suited island that's big enough to house all of the world's brightest scientist, engineers, designers, philosophers, problem-solvers etc. I would task them with finding solutions to the world's problems and we would go about taking care of said problems until we reached a new level of existence as a species.

@Sarah Collins Hey Sarah! I think the word "subordinate" might not be really useful in this context. For example, I never think of my girlfriend as "subordinate" or anything weird like that. But, I also do understand that when we're having sex, she wants to surrender and be led. This is extremely normal. Most women will feel this way if they're more feminine than masculine. Same thing if we are hit with some problem in life that we need to overcome. I'll basically say, "Don't worry about, I'll take care of it," and she can relax knowing that it won't be a problem. Not that she can't take care of things (she can be a lot more savvy than I am), but this is probably one of the most attractive things about being feminine and experiencing that masculine energy. You can see the attraction in her eyes as soon as you put forth that kind of dominance over the world.

Anyway, I don't read books directed at women specifically, so I wouldn't really know. But, I would recommend reading these types of books together with the person you might be with. The Way of the Superior Man should be a great read for a woman as well if she is open-minded. What I love to do is actually read books like this with my girlfriend. We've been reading The 5 Love Languages together, and it's awesome. That way we can talk about it too.

@Momo Feichtinger What's up Momo! That's a pretty complicated question, but I would advise you one thing. Whatever you're doing, make sure it's either better than what's currently on the market or different in a way that adds value. Better or different in a way that adds value.

If you do that, you will do well, the platform won't really matter as much.
