For some people THC helps with anxiety but it makes mine so much worse.. at first it was helping. However, some strains send me on a paranoid cycle of overthinking and fight or flight response. I’ve even had heart palpitations in combination with blurry vision and loss of hearing. I honestly thought I was gonna die but I held on for dear life and pulled through. It helps so much knowing that this isn’t my body failing me at the ripe age of 18. I just hope my doctor will be knowledgeable about this and not put me on a medication that’s going to make it worse.

Almost identical to me, i smoked for anxiety, either the strain or i smoked too much and had an anxiety attack that made my overall anxiety worse for a bit after, felt like ptsd almost since i genuinely thought i was dying. Tried touching weed again at a friends house awhile after and had a panic attack again. I cant touch it anymore i guess. I had to take anxiety meds temporarily just to not have random panic attacks while completely sober, then dropped them after a bit and havent had an attack since

I once had a similar event happen to me, part of my field of vision went blurry. At the time, the doctor put it down to an ocular migraine (I even went and had a deep retina scan) but now that I think about it, it was probably triggered by my anxiety. Very scary indeed.

Haha we are in the same boat. I went to my physician and he told me that it probably was an migraine as well! But it probably wwas anxiety as now that i am nearly anxiety free i dont get that symptom anymore but back then would get them regulary.

My anxiety started around mid November, and I’ve been getting horrible panic attacks since. Though I’m improving a bit my eye vision is a bit out of wack, some say they get double , or even tunnel vision. For me on the other hand my vision in terms of strength feels like it has weakened somewhat, I mean I just had a doctors appointment just a month ago and my vision was 20/20. I literally woke up the next morning with a random feeling of going blind, that negative thought stuck with me the whole day and my eyes have been acting funky since. Idk I’ve been overthinking everything since my anxiety, like getting the random feeling of going deaf, dying, etc.... which makes my anxiety worse. After watching this vid and seeing other people going through a similar phase is somewhat calming me down I guess. Can anyone else can relate to what I’m going through?

Your not alone. I experienced a trauma 2 years ago, I thought I was going to die. Like literally. Since then, its been a hell. Suddenly you are a whole new person and overthink everything. You dont have Andy control and the anxiety of death is a part of you everyday. I almost never get to rest. And i think am depressed. I hope you get better and stay positive. @Zubair Miran To overthink is our worst enemy. Ive began to do yoga and excersice, and eat healthy. You should do that too. Stay active, make food, stop watching tv/being on your mobile. And ask yourself: "Am I going to let these symptoms rule over my life? Symptoms that arent even dangerous? Am healthy and young, Im not gonna die! When you start to not being scared bout the symptoms, like to not care about them - is when they are gonna disappear.

@alta_y_morena I agree. The week I got anxiety I’ve been exercising like going on the treadmill 45min a day and sleeping a bit earlier than I used to ( I would normally sleep at 2-3am. I’ve been slacking lately, I have to get back on it. There’s times when mind mind is clear and I feel great then the negative thoughts kick in and I just can’t seem to get them out of my head, it’s like once I think negatively it stays with me until I somehow forget about it. Just two days ago I woke up at 6am and had trouble breathing again, my anxiety just came out of nowhere. Even when I forced myself to sleep, my heart pounding and my breathing would keep me up. I wasn’t freaked out or anything like that, I was probably used to it I guess but it sucks to go through this. I hate every bit of it.

When we have anxiety, it tends to knock the body out of homeostasis.. so we do experience physical symptoms like blurry vision like I myself experience because of the blood sugar, remember the body is out of balance but once you start rebalancing all those problems go away. Don't fear, or run away from any feelings but be with it and with the physical symptoms don't focus to much on it but concentrate on the anxiety.. be with that and don't show any fear at all to it.

@VelvetZelda thank you 🙏 another important thing is breathing, there's this vagus nerve that runs on either side of the brain to the gut, it's like a 2 way traffic, when we do deep breathing it stimulates the vagus nerve and it got alot to do with our balance. Take time out atleast 3 times a day to do deep breathing so we also become present with ourselves, this really helps with depersonalization. Eventually that dark cloud will lift and you will be on your body again. As for eating, eat healthy but also eat the things you enjoy, it's even more depressing when you cannot have a slice of pizza or your favourite burger. Go for it, it will not hurt you.. watch your mind when it comes to that. The beliefs you take on like for example, I can't eat this or that because of my gut issues, which is not really yours but you read about snd now it becomes your problem to. What you believe has to manifest in your reality, that's why we need to focus more on positive literature or videos we watch. Believe everything that you hear, you will be doomed, everybody is different.. no 2 people's experiences are the same. Hope this helps somebody, wish you all health, wealth and happiness 🙏

@HandsomeHolland the iphone still causes me to feel dizzy after looking at it. Scrolling being the worst. Tv can do this too. But when I don’t do phone/tv - it’s actually 90% ok. Unless I’m anxious. Then symptoms begin. All signs of elevated stress. The body reacts in such strange ways. It all amounts to the same thing. Stress and anxiety.

Hello everyone. I found this movie absolutely wonderful and I would like to say a big thank you for to the creator. My wife had anxiety attack couple months ago and she is now looking for answers, because she got oversensitive to what is happening around her. It is just like the movie said. Me also I had few panics attack, but I never had problem deal with them. That is why I would like to offer you this knowledge. I believe that one of the reasons is that I have highly develop sense of humour. I know it is right now hard to hear that, but if you manage to laugh, make fun of it, than you will totally change the emotional outcome of the events and that will change everything about it. This happened to me today for the first time. I was anxious at the time. What I saw was beautiful but terrifying. Waves of shimmering light and pastel colors of the rainbow. My vision was distorted all around it and I couldn't quite look directly at it. It started off small and got huge before disappearing after I kept my eyes closed and did some deep breaths and tried to relax. 20 minutes it took to go away. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced.

I feel as if my vision becomes more tunnel like, and everything just starts taking on really strong contrast. If it's dark, it gets too dark/light, or if bright, then way too bright, and object colors get very sharp. At that moment I feel as if I don't know where I am, or what is happening around me, as if I want to escape somewhere, but can't. It usually lasts 7-10 minutes. Makes me a little dizzy, as if I am about to go unconscious, and makes me really scared. Immediately, I start sweating really hard, and feeling really worried.

I go sometimes from being completely fine to feeling anxious for no reason. I feel like I feel anxious more often than I do content nowadays. My vision sometimes goes where I can’t focus in stuff and if i’m walking around I unconsciously change where I’m looking abnormally quickly.

I've had almost everything they said might happen as far as general symptoms. I haven't gotten hearing voices but i definitely don't want it. But i've noticed how ever since anxiety started taking over out of nowhere i started getting hallucinations right before falling asleep. It's happened twice. I never got hallucinations before. It's like you get really sleepy and as you start to go under suddenly while your eyes are still open something very real and solid looking lunges at you and you'd get up looking because it's that real.

Mine are very realistic as far as the laws of physics. A basketball sized spider came at me and i freaked out throwing my blanket on it and the blanket as it hit it formed around it like a rounded shape as if covering a ball, but as it fell to the floor it flattened out, i checked the blanket in a frenzy and of course nothing was there.

I have been having visual snow symptoms with my anxiety. The more I focus on it, when worse it gets. I'm afraid to go into highly lit rooms because of how bright everything is. I can relate to being afraid of intense ligting. The lighting in malls and super markets always freaked me out. Everything seemed so intense! Kinda like i was hyperfocused but at the same time not focusing on anything. Doesnt make much sense haha but its difficult for me to describe this feeling. For me it was mostly a sort of tunnel vision or blurriness around the edges of my sight. Also i would have this flare in my eyesight when the lights were very bright and i tried to read something up close.

Scierra Tatum yeah it does , i get a lot of static vision, after images , sparks & like floaters but the floaters are only visible when looking at the sky or white backgrounds..
u should try googling “visual snow” to learn more about it since a lot of ppl aren’t familiar with it , & if u have anxiety u should try not worry about it bc we are more aware of things which can be normal u know ☺️.. or if u can maybe get an eye exam to put ur mind at rest!

How long did your blurry vision last? I also had the same symptoms. All of sudden my vision was cloudy then turned into double vision and I got my vision back the next day. Does it usually last that long? Also, i was even anxious or stressed

For me the extremer eye sensations lasted not too long. Could of lasted from a few minutes to around one hour. But i had days i would be highly sensitive to light or my vision seemed slightly blurred and those could of lasted days...

Does anyone see heat wave like vision? Like the one you see on hot surfaces? 🥺 I went to eye doctors and said nothing’s wrong with my eyes except for eye dryness and allergies. Cause if I tried to manage my anxiety and panic attacks and didn't stress over some stuff and took care of my mental health I wouldn't have been here now. If I'm the reason of my problems now then the only solution is me. I made myself this way. It's my fault. Yes sure I had a bad childhood I have experienced some tragic events. My family member died in front of my eyes and I could've done so much but I couldn't ,I didn't and now I regret so many things. I just want to feel alright again.

That’s exactly what I have since May and didn’t get better at all. It’s like new me. Seen the docs and they said I’m fine can’t find the reason. Everything started after panick attacks in April. Haven’t had panick attack since July tho but the vision problems still persist 24/7

I’ve had flashers for weeks and weeks. Actually went to eye doc and he did a laser procedure but I think I only had a tiny retinal tear. I continue to have flashers a lot. I don’t feel anxious and am actually starting to heal from anxiety and going through a spiritual awakening. This one symptom is very upsetting. Could it be subconscious anxiety causing this?

@Time pass I would just say get a retinal exam. I hate doing it but I also had different types of flashes last month and decided to go in and they saw and repaired another retinal tear. Just try not to react to them. It’s hard. I know. I still have them every day but they are lessening.

Could this be why my eyes make me so dizzy to look at images/iphone/scrolling/computers? I’ve been in a severe anxiety state for 5 years. The dizziness and symptoms go when I go on holiday or away from routine. But I can barely look at my phone! Anxiety / stress can cause many different symptoms - everyone is different. That is why its so hard for those suffering to get answers and re-assurance. I would try playing with the light settings on your phone - maybe its too bright? maybe too dim? also, try getting an eye exam just to make sure you can rule out any issues with your eyes. Stay strong !

I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety and depression 3 weeks ago. I’m on antidepressants and anti anxiety meds right now. I have dizziness and strange eye symptoms like not being able to focus on objects. It feels like my eyes are making small moves everytime they stare at something. Is this the chicken and the egg story or can these be really symptoms of anxiety? I’m very worried. Going to the stores has become so bothersome because of my strange eye issues.

@Basak K hey there! I've seen several doctors over the past few years and had all the tests done. There is nothing physically wrong with me just a lot of anxiety, stress and panic. I must stay at home mom and these past few years have been so trying and I think that's what ultimately led me to where I'm currently at. A year ago I tried Lexapro, however it did nothing for me except make me fat :( I gained 20 lb and now that I'm trying to lose it it won't seem to come off :(

I see a very foggy static and usually I see lots of flashing lights before a migraine :( I’ve only found out recently and after covid I will be going to see a professional to hopefully be diagnosed and possible get medication. I also have tinnitus I think? Which is a common symptom of VS and I’m only 14 and my vision has become so blurry with statics. I can no longer see long distance things. :(

@Improvement Path i have a question. how long did it last? i understand when you get an anxiety, it can take awhile for it to subside. i sort of noticed something strange today, now colors did seem slightly bettter. and I am somewhat more relaxed, but i was doing this thing where i pick a color for the day and notice everything that color. i chose red today. and for some reason when i walked out in the bright sun today (albiet there does seem to be a slight layer of haze, very slight. things off in the distance which had been more clear aren't as sharp, but what i noticed the most was fire hydrants, i swear they were all this bright red up til 2 weeks ago and today they all seemed like some comletely othe rshade, more than any other color. stop and yeild signs also seemed less bright red and just some dull red. orange was better but not quite as brilliant, yellow same thing. blues seemed to be close to normal. some shaded of pink and purple seemed very birght and brillliant like they should. i am curious, did any of these things occur with you as well?

dizziness ans vertigo are my main setbacks. They bring me back to sqaure one. The feeling of dizziness imbalance fear of fainting is really hard to accept. I keep searching for them and recently got to know that it could be due to low b12 levels. Now woth this new diagnosis I am further more anxious now.

I have experience a lots of vision problem for 3 months now consistent it was a month after i have chronic anxiety i guess so my vision was doubled its not that doubled vision but it has a shadow a light shadow beside bright things and then i notice that my eyes becomes more sensitive to lights and i usually seeing halos around lights specially at nights. My eyes are really painful and pressure its a kind of dry eyes sometimes i woke up with redness in the eye and it is actually painful it triggers my anxiety a lot and by the time we went to eye doctor the doctor check my eyes and said it was fine i only have dry eyes it was almost a week now since we have an appointment to the doctor but i still keep seeing things not normal i still have persistent vision problem 😢 i already seen this video and i know that my problem is really link to my anxiety but i dont know how to calm my anxiety or the things that causes hormone imbalance to my body i dont have any relief yet and dont have any medication only eye drops

I find lighting in supermarkets when shopping horrendous these days. But..listening to our bodies when we're subconsciously fight/flight mode'ing may help symptoms. And to think..opticians would simply make a killing out of you and have you buying specs you don't really need..with money you don't really have..and do more harm than good long-term in terms of prescription-dependency....

@RahAngelo yes exactly the same. These last couple of days I’ve been so busy with uni exams that I don’t think about this and I guess it suddenly disappeared. If I start thinking about it, it will start again 😵‍💫 so I guess it’s up to us to control it

@Oli T Same here..past 2 weeks on & off..one eye more tired than the other..and through the tired eye..writing is weaker..the other eye is spot on....I've had anxiety years..and way too many late nights for the past 4 years....

I believe the anxiety makes you hypersensitive to everything hence why you now notice the static etc.

Yes most of my symptoms vanished after implementing some lifestyle changes and my attitude towards life itself.
Ive just answered a comment from jean rey on my "anxiety why me?" video about how i went about it. Perhaps it can be useful to u too.

I experience dim vision only in bright artificial light, not sunlight or in dark or even dim lighting. Just in the bright white artificial light. I have been to eye doctors and even neurologists and they say everything is normal. Don't know if this can also be caused by anxiety. Anyone with similar symptoms?

So I get confused, maybe I have dry eyes but I have photophobia or light sensitivity. I went to the eye doctor and they said my eyes or the nerves in the back of my eyes are healthy. So is it anxiety?

Yes the vision issues i had were due to anxiety. Now that i am anxiety free i do not deal woth the sensations anymore

my god i thought i was the only one, i deal with anxiety & yesterday i thought i was going blind, it was like i was losing my vision in my left eye. i can’t even describe it. it was dark on the bottom, and i saw like heat waves, or vibrations just something moving it was terrifying. it’s caused by stress and i think its a new symptom caused by my anxiety, but i’m gonna double check with a eye doctor just incase. thats the first time thats happen to me. the fear of going blind has always scared me but my anxiety has boosted up the fear, i can’t stop thinking about it, i’m so scared to loose my vision.

I have this one, mine was on the center of my vision theres like a tint, as if you looked on a flashlight directly. now i can't read with my right eye cos it's distorted, imagine seeing things like when the roof of your car was hot and you see heat waves, that's my vison on my right eye sometimes things looks bent. my left eye was perfectly normal though. And that's the reason why i get dizzy cos my brain is having a hard time processing my vision cos one is good and one is bad, it's not balance.

When I explained this to my doctor she was suspecting that it could be glaucoma...I went through tests but it wasn't.. this doesnt scare me anymore cos now I know

For a year now I have been having eye pain, eye floaters and flashes and they're worse when I'm outside in the daylight and I have other bizarre disturbances that I can't even explain and I think my vision pulsates or static but I'm not sure and I have double vision in one eye and negative afterimages.... I think what you are experiencing is Blue light entoptic phenomenon.
I don't exactly know what your vision problems are but i don't think you have double vision coz if you had it you would have known. I mean double vision would have been disturbing enough that you would have known.

I am experiencing something similar. My optician has asked me to get my retina check. I will advise you to get your eyes checked too. Initially I ignored my vision problems (flashes) thinking it was my anxiety but now it's been more than 8 months since the flashes began and my vision hasn't improved. Now i even see black flashes at times.

And yes I was anxious before this started happening, I've had anxiety for years and I got my eyes checked multiple times but without eye dilation and they figure nothing is wrong with my retina, the eye doctor thinks I have a visual migraine or visual snow and my doctor thinks it's anxiety but my health anxiety tells me otherwise. 😱

I got checked everything fine
But took a medicine(antidepressants) and from that day when I am in dark room with low light I start feeling double vision and as if everything is coming towards me.. It's scary as hell !!
