1)Derek Luccas da Silva, known only as DEREK, is a brazilian rapper, model and one of the heads of the collective Recayd Mob. Born in 1998, he was raised in Vila Industrial, East Zone of São Paulo, the neighborhood in question borders Santo André, the city where the rapper currently resides.
He burst onto the scene on December 23, 2016 with his debut album called "Paris", stealing the scene from national rap with influences from trap to bossa nova and jazz. On June 16, 2019, DEREK released a three-track EP titled "Clout", the project's tracks all came out through the artist's channel, being put together in an EP when all were already available on streaming platforms. On February 13, 2020, DEREK released his second studio album "Ícone", containing eleven tracks and features from nine different artists. On June 10, 2020, the SEXY & FASHION EP was released. On January 29, 2021, DEREK had released his first solo mixtape called EL DEREK. The project consists of 23 tracks.
2) Derek is a flemish singer/songwriter. He began his career in the rockband Derek & the Dirt. Later on he started a solo career. In 2010 he recorded his first Dutch album. In 2011 he will release a new cd with his new project: Derek & Maria.
3)John Hendry Blair was better known as Johnny Cymbal, (1945-1993). His recording of Cinnamon, under the stage name of 'Derek,' topped the charts in 1968.
John co-wrote,co- produced and was lead vocalist on "Cinnamon", which was released on Bert Bern's BANG label (Bang 558). For the release, John used the alias "Derek", the name of his younger brother. A band was put together and "Derek" went on the road performing the new hit. "Cinnamon" reached #11, and it being John's third major hit gave him solid credentials and a great many more opportunities. Johnny also recorded as "Derek" for "Back Door Man", the Bang follow-up to "Cinnamon" (Bang 566).

Essa música tem uma importância imensurável na minha vida, eu ouvia todo dia com meus negros em 2019 quando a gente virava a noite bolando algum plano pra ficar multimilionário com 14/15 anos kkkk depois disso cai em uma depressão fudida e tudo perdeu o sentido, mas a ambição e a mentalidade continuaram a mesma, é como se tudo fosse predestinado, nada mais me importa além da obsessão e ambição. Talvez tudo faça sentido daqui 1 ano. Minha mente tá completamente blindada de tudo que vá me tirar desse caminho. Amo meus manos. Nunca foi só pelo dinheiro
