Die Form's songs are erotic and death-obsessed. They have been able to impose years after years a music and an image of the most completed, in the practice of the "multimedia intervention" (music, performance, photography and cinema/video).
Since 1978, besides multiple participations in international projects, about thirty albums, many video clips & films and two art books allow to appreciate their particular universe : industrial and organic electronic, tortured neo-classic and experimental constructions to more accessible compositions (based on rhythms, cuts, sampling, treated voices and sequences). Always motivated by passions, Philippe F. and Eliane P. exhibit the ultimate beauty of love, at the boundary of the interdicts.
"Out-standard constructions where is added a mechanical dimension to the sensuality of the female voices and melodies."
Autonomic
Die Form Lyrics

Synthetic body addict, automatic neurotic pleasures.
Synthetic body illusion, the days don't exist anymore,
Neither seasons, nor feelings, just fights and fears...
I became the prolongation of my own obsessions,
I became the instrument of my own destruction.
Autonomic, auto-erotic...
The lyrics to Die Form's song Autonomic depict the inner turmoil and struggles of an individual who has become addicted to synthetic pleasures and stimulation. The first two lines, "My heart beats like a machine, auto-erotic stimulation", suggest that the individual has become so hooked on synthetic stimuli that their physical responses have become robotic. The use of the word "auto-erotic" further emphasizes the erotic nature of this synthetic stimulation.
The next two lines, "Synthetic body addict, automatic neurotic pleasures", reveal that this addiction has extended to the individual's entire being, causing them to become addicted to the synthetic experiences that they are seeking. They have become so consumed by these experiences that they are no longer able to experience their surroundings fully; "Synthetic body illusion, the days don't exist anymore, Neither seasons, nor feelings, just fights and fears". The mention of "fights and fears" suggests that the individual's addiction may have also manifested itself in aggressive or violent tendencies.
The final two lines, "I became the prolongation of my own obsessions, I became the instrument of my own destruction", reveal that the individual has now become a slave to their addiction, to the point where it is causing them harm. They are consumed by their own obsessions and have become instrumental in their own downfall. The repetition of the words "autonomic" and "auto-erotic" throughout the song further emphasize the mechanical and robotic nature of the individual's addiction.
