It blows my mind how he’s remained anonymous. His face and voice were all over the Internet, people figured out the area he lives in, he went all the way YouTube headquarters to California from Denver without ever showing his ID, and worst of all, someone who was actually famous recorded a video with him. I really, really like that you don't just do videos on the nutjobs of various popular platforms. Omegle and Chat Roulette weren't something I was into at that time but it's always great hearing stories of humans being bros to other humans. This video came at a perfect time. Since so many people are isolated at home because of this pandemic, browsing the web, playing online, just all around spending a lot of time online, I think Merton should make a comeback. Merton, if by some miracle you see this video and see this particular comment I think you should come back and make some videos. I think your new platform should be Twitch, that way you can have more control and more people can see you and support you. I think you could make all sorts of fun live music dedications, and games, and just be yourself, or...Merton. I just hope Merton is still alive and well.

I was a part of the one and only MertonCon in 2013 where I met many friends In Denver in addition to the man himself. Merton had his own web show aptly named the Merton Show where he would do more of the same by request. I met many of my friends because of Merton. It was a magical time. I miss him and hope he returns to us in this time of need.

It’s too bad he’s not still doing this. Given the success of the car karaoke and other similar bits, he’d be great to hang with, he’d make money, and it would be a boost to the viewers’ mood.

He could also do celebrity pianochatimprov as part of a late night talk show. The concept is so simple but so effective at giving people some smiles and laughs- I wish he’d get a contract with a show. Or he and other YouTube people who did/do original ideas could have a variety show on YouTube. There’s not a whole lot on cable that is very good and this would be a great replacement. Hey Wavy, love the channel! I did have a rando lead on this guy. I’m a Denver native and the whole time I was thinking that guy reminds me of a guy who worked at a dueling piano bar. I was 23 in 2010 and I remember I was just chilling with some girlfriends and we saw this guy, but like well before he was super well known too. Also back then it was a little easier to be super popular to some groups online but absolutely unknown outside of that. And granted, I had only been one chatroulette like 3 other times and I had seen so so many penises and weird shit that I was super quick to just disconnect from anyone who was even a little different. Sigh.
