Instead of specialising themselves in a certain segment in music, Galaxie chose to spin records of almost any kind. Today we know them from a mish mash of Technotronic and De La Soul. The Beach Boys and Fedde Le Grand. Diana Ross and Daft Punk. And Michael Jackson. Everything is possible, as long as the records are true 'shakers'.
Discobar Galaxie did several radioshows on Studio Brussel, a Belgian radiostation. They spinned the records at almost every festival in the country. DJ Bobby Ewing (Jimmy Dewit) is mixmaster, DJ Loveboat (Adriaan Van den Hoof) is the voice and DJ Lars Capaldi (Frank Somers)... is always somewhere around. Galaxie has released already three mix-albums: ‘In your Space’, ‘Give Space a Chance’ and ‘Space Bar’.

Externe Manifestation der deutsch-deutschen Teilung zementiert. Letzte Übergänge in den Westen werden
geschlossen, Abriegelung der Sektorengrenze um Flucht aus DDR zu unterbinden. West-Berliner dürfen nicht mehr
den Ostteil besuchen. Bei Fluchtversuchen zwischen 1961 - 1988 von Ost nach West haben mehrere hundert
Menschen an der innerdeutschen Grenze ihre Sehnsucht nach Freiheit mit ihrem Leben bezahlt.
Deutschland bleibt geteilt bis zum 9. Nov. 1989, --> 1:47 - 1:55.
Completion of the inner German border & Berlin Wall seals the German-German division for the next three decades.
All checkpoints into the West were closed down to prevent any escape from the GDR into West Germany.
West-Berliners were not allowed any visits to East-Berlin anymore (to see family, loved ones, friends).
Walls, security fences, death strips, automatic shooting mechanisms defined the inner German border that had
split the land into two for three decades.
Between 1961 - 1988 several hundred East-German citizens, who tried to flee from the GDR regime to the West
over the inner-German border, paid their longing for freedom with their lives.
The two German states remained divided until Nov. 9th, 1989, the night of the Fall of the Berlin Wall,
which was the direct consequence of the Peaceful Revolution.

The Peaceful Revolution. The Germans did it. Besides, their honest, open handling and blunt dealing with the past is absolutely worth admiring, Vergangenheitsbewältigung as they call it, they have done it in an unprecedented way. Everyone who doesn't understand the meaning and intention of this video will never have any understanding of anything in this world. This brainy clip also exemplifies, what collective efforts are able to achieve for the common good, for humanity, for peace . - Education is the key!
