The Truth
Dogs Of Peace Lyrics

Between what's lost
And You and Your cross
I've lied and alibied
My way to the end
With no way to win
I've got nothing
I've got nothing
I tell you the truth
Don't you ever think twice
You'll be with me
In paradise
Jesus, I trust
In You to know
The way I should go
And is there room anywhere
In Your kingdom?
Forgiving someone
You owe nothing
You owe nothing
I tell you the truth
Don't you ever think twice
You'll be with me
In paradise
Paradise
In this song, Dogs of Peace explore the complexities of life and faith, weaving together themes of guilt, redemption, and trust in a higher power. The first verse describes a sense of desperation and uncertainty, with the singer admitting to lying and manipulating their way through life. Despite this, they acknowledge the power of the cross and seek forgiveness.
The second verse centers on the idea of trust in Jesus and surrendering control, wondering if there is a place for them in heaven despite their mistakes. The chorus offers reassurance, with the singer declaring that anyone who trusts in Jesus will be with them in paradise.
Overall, the song seems to offer a message of hope and forgiveness, with the singer acknowledging their shortcomings but ultimately finding comfort in their faith.
