Doug has a national and international ministry working with children and song writing. In 1996 his song ""We Want To See Jesus Lifted High"" was chosen as the theme for the global March for Jesus event and was sung in 176 countries by some 25 million people. Doug has also worked with singer / song writer Noel Richards for over ten years and as well as playing lead guitar for him he has also co-written a number of songs with him that have featured on Noel's albums.
Doug has a vision to see Jesus lighting a flame in the hearts of children that will spread like wildfire. Doug's heart is to present the gospel in fun, lively ways and to challenge children to build their friendship with God and to realise how important they are to him. He uses action songs, puppets, tricks, juggling and all manner of other exciting visual methods to catch the children's imagination.
With his team he travels the UK widely putting on family praise parties, seminars and ""adult"" celebrations as well as running the 8-11's work at conferences including Spring Harvest which this year attracted up to 875 children per day!
He also runs his own annual "Duggies Summer Weeks" which this year was attended by over 1000 mainly unchurched children and young people aged 5-14 during two weeks in August. Doug strives for quality in all that he does and the summer weeks programme included Go karting, Lazer quest, wildlife encounters, the infamous ""gunge tank"", quad bikes, numerous bouncy activities and stacks more.
Doug wants children to thoroughly enjoy themselves at his events - but also to meet with God in powerful ways, and be equipped to be used by God to see amazing things happen.
Doug has also recorded several albums for "Kingsway Music" which feature fun action songs, anointed adult worship tracks and high energy dance tracks.

Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry about anything
But pray and ask God for everything you need
And when you pray, oh, always give thanks
And the peace of God will keep your mind on Jesus
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything
Does worry ever stop bad things happening?
No!
And it won′t help make them go away
Will worry ever, ever, ever help you get better
When you're really, really, really, really sick?
No way!
Worry won′t help when the going gets tough
Worry won't help when life is really rough
Instead of praying last and panicking fast (ooh, ooh)
Don't worry in a hurry, turn to Jesus (ooh, Jesus)
Turn to Jesus (Jesus)
Turn to Jesus (Jesus)
Oh, turn (turn) to (to) Jesus (Jesus)
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything, anything, anything
Do not worry, oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh-oh
Do not worry, oh-oh
About anything
Doug Horley's song "Do Not Worry" is an upbeat and inspirational song that encourages listeners to give their worries to God and trust in Him. The repeated refrain of "Do not worry, oh-oh" emphasizes the main message of the song: don't worry about anything. The lyrics suggest that worrying is not only unhelpful but can also be counterproductive. Instead of worrying, the song encourages listeners to turn to God in prayer, asking for what they need and giving thanks. The song suggests that if we trust in God and turn to Jesus, we can find peace and assurance that our needs will be met.
The song cleverly makes use of rhetorical questions to illustrate the futility of worrying. The lyrics ask, "Does worry ever stop bad things happening?" and answer with an emphatic "No!" The song goes on to ask if worrying will help when someone is really sick, and again answers with a resounding "No way!" The refrain of "Do not worry, oh-oh" is a memorable and catchy way of encouraging listeners to give their worries to God and trust in Him.
Overall, the song "Do Not Worry" is an uplifting and encouraging reminder that we don't have to face life's challenges alone. We can turn to God in prayer and trust that He will provide for our needs and give us the peace of mind that comes from knowing we are not alone.
