After exploding onto the South Yorkshire scene, the band soon became famous for their long, marathon high-energy sets, and after a highly succesful first year, they were nominated for "The Soundaloud 2004 Best New Band Award", and even had their song, "Fire Alarm" covered at the awards ceremony by 'Tommy Binks & The Alcoholics'.
They produced their only commercial release at the end of that year, their debut album, RockRollDanceDestroy, which was on sale in HMV for a short period in 2005.
The band went on to headine the Devonshire Jam Festival in the centre of Sheffield in 2005, set highlights included cameo appearances from local rap group "noXcuse" and "Existend" guitarist, Stef Blackwood.
Shortly after, the band decided to draw a line in 2005 and start a short-lived new band, Painkiller Jane, with a new sound, completely new material, and an extra singer shortly afterwards.
The band have played several reunion gigs since, most notably reforming to perform at the Sheffield St Patrick's Day Guinness Tent in 2008.

Lily The Pink lyrics
(Chorus)
We'll drink a drink a drink
To lily the pink the pink the pink
The saviour of our human race
For she invented, medicinal compound
Most efficacious in every case
Mr freers had sticky out ears
And it made him awful shy
And so they gave him medicinal compound
And now he's learning how to fly
Brother Tony was notably bony
He would never eat his meals
And so they gave him medicinal compound
Now they move him round on wheels
We'll drink a drink a drink
To lily the pink the pink the pink
The saviour of the human race
For she invented medicinal compound
Most efficacious in every case
Old Ebenezer thought he was Julius Caesar
And so they put him in a home
Where they gave him medicnal compound
And now he's emporor of Rome
Jonny Hammer, had a terrible st st st st stammer
He could hardly sssay a word
And so they gave him medicinal compound
Now's he's seen, but never heard
Chorus
Aunty Milly ran willy nilly
When her legs they did recede
So they looked on medicinal compound
Now they call her milipede
Jennifer Eccles, had terrible freckles
And the boys all called her names
But she changed with medicinal compound
Now he joins in all the games
Chorus
Lily the pink she turned to drink
She filled up with parafin inside
And despite her medicinal compound
Sadly piccalilli died
Up to heaven her soul ascended
All the church bells they did ring
She took with her medicinal compound
Hark the herald angels sing
Chorus

This may not be one of the best songs ever, but we were made to sing it at my primary school, and it brings back some lovely memories.

I thought it was only us!

I went to school in 80-90s and it was on our assembly song list. I think this was only one that we didn't rewrite to be rude to torment the trachers

I wish we got to sing it, we were only given hymns. :-(

Omg this brought the memories flooding back. My parents and my uncle, who loved to play records, yes records, in the 70's, used to play this and we'd all march around the living room. Love it. Thanks for the memories.
Milbury55
we had a teacher in primary school, who brought this record in, and we had to learn all the words! Still love it to this day!
Eightiesboy
Hope you are still alive and enjoying it!
