Lego House ft. P Money
Ed Sheeran Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And build a Lego house
When things go wrong we can knock it down
My three words have two meanings
There's one thing on my mind, it's all for you
And it's dark in a cold December, but I've got ya to keep me warm
And keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm gonna paint you by numbers and color you in
If things go right we can frame it, and put you on a wall
And it's so hard to say it but I've been here before
And I'll surrender up my heart and swap it for yours
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind, I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
Don't hold me down
I think my braces are breaking and it's more than I can take
And if it's dark in a cold December, but I've got ya to keep me warm
And if you're broken I'll mend ya
And keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done, I'll love you better now
The song Lego House by Ed Sheeran, featuring P Money, is a heartfelt love song that tells the story of a person who promises to pick up the pieces and build a strong foundation in a relationship. The song begins with the lyrics, "I'm gonna pick up the pieces and build a Lego house, when things go wrong we can knock it down." This expresses the idea that the person is willing to work on the relationship, and that they will be there for their partner through tough times. The use of Lego as an analogy for the relationship highlights the idea that the person is willing to build something strong and durable, even if it takes time and effort.
The chorus of the song, "I'm out of touch, I'm out of love, I'll pick you up when you're getting down, and out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now" reveals the singer's self-awareness of how he has grown and matured since his past relationships, and that he now knows how to love better. He is willing to invest his time and affection in this new relationship and provide shelter from any external turmoil. The line, "Don't hold me down, I think my braces are breaking and it's more than I can take" shows the singer's vulnerability, which further highlights the depth of his emotions.
Overall, the song is about finding genuine love and holding onto it, even if it means going through challenging times. It inspires hope in the listener that true love is possible, and that it requires effort, commitment, and understanding.
