All I want my whole life through
Each day is just like Christmas
Anytime that I'm with you
You're all I want for Christmas
And if all my dreams come true
Then I'll awake on Christmas morning
Each day is just like Christmas
Anytime that I'm with you
You're all I want for Christmas
And if all my dreams come true
Then I'll awake on Christmas morning
And find my stockings filled with you
In Eddie Fisher's classic Christmas song, "You're All I Want for Christmas", the lyrics describe just how much the person singing values the other person in their life. The opening line sets the tone, as it makes it clear that the singer only wants one thing this Christmas - the person they're singing to. The second line is particularly powerful, as the singer declares that they want this person for their whole life. It's a song about love and commitment, and about the importance of having someone special by your side.
The line "Each day is just like Christmas anytime that I'm with you" is particularly poignant, as it suggests that the singer doesn't need a special occasion or event to feel happy and fulfilled. Simply being with the person they love makes every day feel like Christmas. And when they do wake up on Christmas morning, they won't be concerned with presents or material gifts - they'll be grateful for the person laying beside them.
