Born in Kingston, Jamaica as Ripton Hylton, Eek-a-Mouse began his foray into reggae music when he was in college, but did not begin to garner a substantial audience until 1979 with his hit "Once a Virgin". This same year, he changed his singing name to "Eek-a-Mouse", the name of the racehorse he always bet on. In 1981, he cheered up the Reggae Sunsplash Festival, which was still mourning over the death of reggae icon Bob Marley. After this, his fame continued increasing through the year 1982 until 1988, when he released "Eek-A-Nomics", his last full-length CD until 1996.
Eek-a-Mouse is a regular at the Jamaican music festival Reggae Sunsplash and often teams up with reggae duo Michigan and Smiley. He has also been featured on Christian rock group P.O.D.'s (Payable on Death) album Satellite, lending his vocals to the rock-reggae track "Ridiculous".

Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Which part the boy a go?
He's going to London town
How much drugs he was smuggling?
About two thousand pounds
What type of drugs he was smuggling?
When they search his suitcase
They found fifty five pounds
When they search his briefcase
They found about half an ounce
When they search his girlfriend they found
Cocaine under her gown
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Though, a boy they call Willie Raygen
And a ganja boat him hiding
Immigration man, dem find him
But, ganja, he tried to hide it
But, of course, god, they find it
Now he's about to get dip
Trying to store away on a cargo ship
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Though, a boy they call Willie Red
Cocaine he used to sell
He was busted by the fed
Ten pounds of coke he tried to sell
He wouldn't tell on his friend
So they give him a life sentence
But they let him do about ten
Then they dip him again
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Though, a boy they call Willie Roy
He was a friend of Pablo Escobar
Chunks under a seat of his car
But, he was busted by sniffing dogs
Sniffing dog never lie lot of cocaine cry
Busted again busted again
Though, a boy they call Philly Freddie
Ten pound a cocaine in his belly
He was acting a kind of way
So they took him for an x ray
Thought he had been betrayed
But he was digging his own grave
So they put him on the next plane
Send him back to JA
Dip 'em again dip 'em again
Bust him again bust him again
The song "Dip Em" by Eek-a-Mouse talks about different individuals involved in drug smuggling activities and their eventual apprehension by law enforcement. The repeated phrase "Dip 'em again" refers to the act of capturing and arresting these individuals. The song sheds light on their stories and the consequences they face for their illegal actions.
In the first verse, the lyrics describe a boy who is going to London with the intention of smuggling drugs. He is found in possession of two thousand pounds worth of heroin and opium. The authorities search his suitcase and find fifty-five pounds of drugs, while they discover a smaller amount in his briefcase. Furthermore, when they search his girlfriend, they find cocaine hidden in her gown. The lyrics highlight the extensive efforts made by law enforcement to uncover and seize illegal substances from these individuals.
The second verse introduces Willie Raygen, who attempts to hide ganja (marijuana) on a boat. However, immigration officers eventually discover it, leading to his imminent arrest. The third verse tells the story of Willie Red, a person involved in selling cocaine. He is caught with ten pounds of the drug but refuses to cooperate with law enforcement by revealing information about his partner, resulting in a life sentence. However, the lyrics mention that he serves only ten years before facing another arrest.
The fourth verse features Willie Roy, a friend of the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar. Despite hiding chunks of cocaine under the seat of his car, he is apprehended by drug-sniffing dogs. The lyrics emphasize the reliability of these animals in detecting illegal substances. Lastly, the song mentions Philly Freddie, who swallowed ten pounds of cocaine to transport. His suspicious behavior attracts attention, and he is subjected to an X-ray examination. Although he suspects betrayal, it is revealed that he is essentially digging his own grave by attempting to smuggle drugs internally. As a result, he is swiftly deported back to Jamaica.
Overall, "Dip Em" highlights the futile attempts of individuals involved in drug smuggling to evade law enforcement. The repeated phrase "Dip 'em again" serves as a reminder that these individuals will face repeated arrests, reflecting the ongoing battle against illegal drug activities.
