Zumbido
El Otro Yo Lyrics

que rebote como aromas
Es el zumbido del silencio
lo que está dentro del cuerpo
Es el zumbido del silencio
lo que está por estallar
el silencio que mastico
Es el zumbido del silencio
lo que está dentro del cuerpo
Es el zumbido del silencio
quiero romperlo!!!!!!!!!
The lyrics to El Otro Yo's song Zumbido are a somewhat enigmatic tribute to the power of sound and the sensation it can produce within ourselves. The first two lines invite the listener to let the music penetrate their ears, to let it rebound and resonate within them like a fragrance. This comparison of sound to a scent evokes an ethereal quality, something that can be sensed but not easily grasped, much like the way music can evoke emotions and images within us that we struggle to articulate in language.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "es el zumbido del silencio" - it is the buzzing of silence - which is an intriguing paradox that suggests the presence of sound where it is supposedly absent. The buzzing sensation within the singer's body is likened to a actively-chewed piece of silence, which hints at a kind of intense, concentrated energy that the singer is trying to release. The repetition of the phrase "quiero romperlo" - I want to break it - suggests that this buzzing energy is something that is building up inside the singer and they need to find release for it. The overall impression given by the lyrics is one of a strong physical and emotional response to music and sound, and the powerful sensations they can evoke.
