Closure
Emm Gryner Lyrics

Just the way winter melted so fast
Somewhere before the mountain range
Caught in the wreck of an older train
In an acre where we could be alone
You showed you love like a gambler goes broke
Somewhere the night sky's clear
I'll love you from over here, and
This is closure
The lyrics of "Closure" by Emm Gryner tell the story of a romantic relationship that has come to an end. The singer is coming to terms with the fact that the relationship is over and that they need to move on. The opening lines suggest that the singer understands that the pain of the breakup will eventually fade, just like the winter will give way to spring. The second line, "Just the way winter melted so fast," sets the tone for the rest of the song, which is one of acceptance and peace.
The next few lines describe the moment when the relationship ended. The singer remembers being "caught in the wreck of an older train," which is a metaphor for the moment when things fell apart. The imagery of a wrecked train suggests that the breakup was sudden and destructive, but the use of the word "older" suggests that there may have been underlying issues that led to the end of the relationship.
