Little Man
Endeavor Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Tomorrow has come and no sun shines. Graven images, dreaded morn.
Illogical displacement of rational. I whince as I crumble beneath my eyes, as I crumble.
I close my eyes. I whisper "I believe" three times to myself to relieve the numbness in my bones. Question my good intentions because I'm left alone with them again.

I questioned my heart and soul that turned you cold.
But its all turned around...Ironed out five years in five hours after five years.
Ironed out five years in five hours after five years of stumbling around with the one question of
"Am I worth the expression ?"

Ironed out in the late summer breeze all that drove me to my knees,
Inadequacies, bouts of rage covered with tarps of silence since that day I died inside...

But now that that time has died, I can appreciate being alive.
I have learned to love what's inside.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Endeavor's song Little Man describe a moment of intense pain and confusion, followed by a gradual process of healing and growth. The singer begins by noting that it is a new day, but there is no sunshine - perhaps a metaphor for the emotional pain they are feeling. They describe a sense of dread and confusion, as if the world is not making sense to them. The singer admits to feeling overwhelmed, using the word "crumble" twice to describe how they feel.

However, the singer does not give up. They close their eyes and repeat a phrase to themselves as a kind of mantra, trying to relieve the numbness they feel in their bones. They acknowledge that they question their own good intentions, perhaps indicating a sense of guilt or self-doubt. The phrase "left alone with them again" suggests that this struggle is a recurring one.

In the second stanza, the singer reflects on a difficult experience in the past, noting that they "questioned [their] heart and soul" about something that caused someone to turn "cold." It's unclear what this experience was, but it seems to have been a source of pain and confusion for a long time. However, the singer is also able to reflect on how they have overcome this experience. They describe "ironing out" five years of struggle in just five hours, a metaphor for a transformative moment of growth or healing.

The rest of the stanza describes how the singer has been able to move past their pain and learn to appreciate life again. They describe a desire to love what's inside, perhaps indicating a newfound sense of self-acceptance or self-love. The final line - "I have learned to love what's inside" - is a powerful statement of growth and self-acceptance.

Overall, the lyrics to Little Man are a testament to the power of perseverance and growth in the face of pain and confusion. The singer describes a difficult journey, but ultimately finds a sense of peace and self-love.

I think people underestimate Dabi's quick thinking. He surrounded them in a ring of fire so Endeavor couldn't cool down and attack.

@Denki Kaminari yes, but about the eraser head thing, he only fought a clone, so it depends on what Twice knows and doesn't know

@GeigerCourtier bruh if we want to keep mentioning how the author decides their decisions then the main protagonists and antagonists are just the author himself

Isabella Nájera

@Sharif Brown Endeavor was always a horrible dad. Married for the wrong reason, to make quimeras and play making experiments with his own kids, If the kids wasnt worth it, it was discarded(no, giving only money to raise them is not being a good parent, he was neglectful).

Didn´t left his own kids interact with Shoto, and for what Natsuo said, Enji didnt even left Shoto eat the same food as them (sometimes).

So, the title "father" is so big for him.

Even now to shoto, Enji is only promising to be a good hero, thats all he can be.

@McLovin the data books are bullshit, don't take them too seriously. Shoto's technique stat drops from a 5 to a 4 from the first data book to the second. Another example of this is Present Mic, who apparently gets dumber, since his intelligence drops from a 5 to a 4 from the first databook to the second. Dabi is demonstrated to have extremely good judgment, strategic thinking, and cognitive abilities. He regularly employs psychological warfare in fights, he's able to deduce that sand hero's weakness instantly, and he perfectly copies Shoto's Phosphor after only seeing it one time. This goes without saying, but he instantly knew to box Endeavor in a ring of flames to keep him from cooling down. Dabi's easily one of the most intelligent fighters in MHA

GeigerCourtier

He’s a fictional character, they don’t “think”
