Im Getting Sentimental Over You

But now I hear love call,
I'm getting sentimental over you
Things you say and do,
Just thrill me through and through,
I'm getting sentimental over you.
I could live without love
Now I must admit,
Love is all I'm thinking of
Won't you please be kind,
And just make up your mind
That you'll be sweet & gentle,
Be gentle with me
Because I'm sentimental over you
The lyrics of Engelbert Humperdinck's song, "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You," express a profound change in the singer's perspective regarding love. Initially, the singer "never thought [he'd] fall" as he seemed content with his solitary life. However, the entrance of love into his life has caused him to become "sentimental."
The things that the object of his affection does and says "thrill" him, signaling genuine attraction and adoration. He admits that his entire being is consumed by thoughts of love, a sharp contrast from his initial beliefs. The singer then pleads with his love interest to reciprocate his affections and treat him kindly, so he can continue experiencing these emotions.
Engelbert paints a vivid picture of emotional metamorphosis and the power of love in a person's life. The lyrics convey the message that despite one's initial resistance to love, it has the potential to cause a significant shift in perspective and evoke feelings of sentimentality and vulnerability.

"Я становлюсь сентиментальным с вами.
То, что вы говорите, создают острые ощущения
Пронизывающие меня насквозь,
Я становлюсь сентименаьным с вами.
Я думал, что я был счастлив, что я мог бы жить без любви,
Теперь я должен признать, что любовь есть все, что я имею в виду.
Пожалуйста, будьте добры, и просто измените свой ум
Будьте сладкой и нежной со мной
Потому что я становлюсь сентиментальным рядом с вами".
