1) Enigma is a German electronic musical project founded by Michael Cretu (Romanian musician), David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in 1990. Cretu, who based his recording studio A.R.T. Studios in Ibiza, Spain in the early 1990s is both the composer and the producer of the project. His former wife Sandra often provided vocals on Enigma tracks. Jens Gad co-produced and played guitar on three of the Enigma albums.
After some solo projects, Cretu started to produce the first Enigma record "MCMXC a.D." in 1990 using the nickname "Curly MC". Until today, with seven albums out, "Seven Lives, Many Faces" being the latest one (released on September 19, 2008), 35 million CDs sold worldwide, 50 number one hits, 90 platinum discs, and songs appearing on more than 1,000 compilation albums.
With the 1990 hit "Sadeness Part I," Enigma brought the new age fascination with Gregorian chants and old-world culture to the world and clubs; the resulting single was both unique and irresistible.
On his second album, 1993’s "Cross of Changes", some of the old-world elements remained, but the new age angle came to the forefront in a set of slick, radio-friendly pop. The well-known "Return to Innocence" was born.
Enigma 3: "Le Roi Est Mort, Vive le Roi" followed in 1996 - a musical summary of the previous concepts.
The fourth Enigma record, "The Screen Behind the Mirror", followed in early 2000, and in 2003 "Voyageur" came out. Three years later, "A Posteriori" (2006) was released. The result is an intergalactic sound trip through the universe and back, based on a more electronic/trance sound.
In 2008 his seventh album was released, "Seven Lives, Many Faces".
In 2009 "The Platinum Collection" was released, spread between 3 disks, the first containing the popular music created by Engima, the second CD contains remixes of all the songs on the first CD with the third containing never before heard tracks.
On 5 October 2010, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the first album MCMXC a.D., the "Enigma's Social Song" project began. Enigma fans were asked to submit vocals for a new Enigma song. The public was then asked to vote, with the winning submission "Fei mea" being provided by Latvian singer Fox Lima for the chorus. The top 3 runners up, Mark Joshua from Brazil, J. Spring from Spain, and Rasa Serra from Lithuania provided other important parts of the vocals like the bridge, backing, and verse of the final version of the single. Fans also influenced further stages of the song's creation by voting on elements such as a lead instrument, general mood, and style of the track. The final mix of the single named "MMX (The Social Song)" was released on 15 December 2010. It became the first song ever created for and by the fans via the internet.
In August 2016, Enigma's eighth studio album The Fall of a Rebel Angel was announced for a release on 11 November 2016. It features guest musicians Brazilian singer-songwriter Mark Josher, Indonesian singer Anggun, female voice Nanuk, and English electro-pop duo Aquilo. Two singles from the album have been released, "Sadeness (Part II)" featuring Anggun, and "Amen" featuring Aquilo.
In May 2018, limited edition coloured vinyl editions of Enigma's entire catalogue were released in a new collection, The Colours of Enigma – The Vinyl Series. The set features new artwork and remastered stereo mixes made from the original master tapes.
Throughout 2019 and into 2020, three former vocalists for Enigma, Andru Donalds, Angel X, and Fox Lima, embarked on a world tour under the name Original Enigma Voices. This marks the first time Enigma's music has been performed live.
2) Enigma is a technical death metal band from San Jose, CA consisting of Petr Oplatka (vocals), Byron Leon (guitars/programming), Ryan McNatt (guitars), Dan Saltzman (bass) and Harley Blandford (drums).
3) Enigma is a dubstep producer from the UK.

Enigma Lyrics

Attollite portas, principes, vestras
Et elevamini, portae aeternales
Et introibit Rex Gloriae
Qius est iste Rex Glorie?
Sade, dit moi (dis-moi, dis-moi)
Procedamus in pace
In nomine Christi, Amen
Sade, dit moi, qu'est ce que tu vas chercher
Le bien par le mal
La vertu par le vice?
Sade dit moi pourquoi l'évangile du mal?
Quelle est ta religion, où sont tes fidèles?
Si tu es contre Dieu, tu es contre l'homme
Sade es-tu diabolique ou divin?
Sade, dit moi
Hosanna
Sade, donne moi
Hosanna
Sade, dit moi
Hosanna
Sade, donne moi
Hosanna
In nomine Christi, Amen
The principles of lust
Are easy to understand
Do what you feel
Feel until the end
The principles of lust
Are burnt in your mind
Do what you want
Do it until you find love
The principles of lust
Are easy to understand
Do what you feel
Feel until the end
The principles of lust
Are burnt in your mind
Do what you want
Do it until you find love
Sade, dit moi (dis-moi, dis-moi)
Sade, donne moi (donne-moi, donne-moi)
Sade, dit moi
Hosanna
Sade, donne moi
Hosanna
Sade, dit moi
Hosanna
Sade, donne moi
Hosanna
The lyrics of Enigma's song Sadeness are a mix of Latin and French, and they contain references to various religious concepts. The Latin lyrics in the introduction roughly translate to "Lift the gates, princes, to your eternal doors. Be lifted up, ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter in. Who is the King of Glory?" This is a reference to a verse in the Bible, Psalm 24:7-10, which describes the entrance of the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem.
The French lyrics are directed towards the titular figure of Sade, who is commonly believed to refer to the Marquis de Sade, a French aristocrat and writer who was infamous for his sexually explicit and violent works. Through the lyrics, the singer asks Sade why he searches for good through evil and virtue through vice, and questions the concept of the "gospel of evil." The singer also wonders if Sade is divine or diabolical, suggesting ambiguity and complexity in his character.
The later lyrics describe the "principles of lust" as being easy to understand and burned in one's mind, suggesting that indulging in desire until finding love is a way to live one's life. Overall, the lyrics of Sadeness explore themes of religion, sexuality, and morality, and they are intended to be thought-provoking and multi-layered.
