All Your Love
Eric Clapton Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

For your love
For your love
I'd give you everything and more and that's for sure
(For your love)
I'd bring you diamond rings and things right to your door
(For your love)
To thrill you with delight,
I'd give you diamonds bright
Double takes I will excite,
Make you dream of me at night
For your love
For your love
For your love
For your love,
For your love
I would give the stars above
For your love,
For your love
I would give you all I could
(For your love)
(For your love)
I'd give the moon if it were mine to give
(For your love)

I'd give the stars and the sun for I live
(For your love)

All the love I miss loving,
All the kiss I miss kissing.
All the love I miss loving,
All the kiss I miss kissing.
Before I met you baby,
Never knew what I was missing.

I never knew what I was missing.

Hey, hey baby,
Hey, hey baby.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, baby,
Oh, oh, baby.
Since I first met you baby,
Never knew what I was missing.

John Mayall launched so many great jazz and blues musicians. He releases about 1 album a year for the past 60 years. Just incredible talent and I love this collaboration.

John's voice is in fine form. This song works so cool. The lead can scream, or not

All Your Love is the kinda song which has endless passion in itself. Them chords, that melody, that tempo of it all... Heroes like these lads make it spectacular.

Oh come on Eric, this has to be played on a Les Paul!!! Cannot understand why you left that majestic sound...

@Jackmc2112

Agreed

He moved on, since 1965. Besides, it so doesn't matter. It's in the fingers, not the guitar. He's as expressiv as ever, and he makes that strat sound softer and warmer than most are able with an LP.

Cream 2005 gigs no without Gibson

@jakemccoy810

Very true but most strats don't have the ability to get down right nasty like a good paf equiped Les paul

@MrThomasv

He discovered the greatest guitar on earth. Stratocaster !!

Great, very professional performance. Interesting, I'd just watched some Clapton from 1978 and his playing was so much more ragged and inspired back then. He's become very mannered. Still an amazing guitarist, just a little on the stagnant side. He could play all these licks in his sleep. They're threadbare by now. Still--
