It's late in the evening, she's wondering what clothes to wear
The night is progressing, and the woman is still unsure of which attire would suit her best

She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair
She puts on cosmetics and combs her lengthy, pale hair

And then she asks me, 'Do I look all right?'
She inquires whether she appears presentable enough

And I say, 'Yes, you look wonderful tonight'
I commend her appearance, and deem her as stunning, right now

We go to a party and everyone turns to see
We attend a gathering wherein people stare at us

This beautiful lady that's walking around with me
The gorgeous woman accompanying me

And then she asks me, 'Do you feel all right?'
She questions whether I am feeling well

And I say, 'Yes, I feel wonderful tonight'
I reply in the affirmative, indicating that I am enjoying myself immensely

I feel wonderful because I see
My joy and contentment stems from the fact that

The love light in your eyes
I am able to perceive the gleam of affection in your gaze

And the wonder of it all
What bewilders me, however, is the fact that

Is that you just don't realize how much I love you
You do not comprehend the extent of my love for you

It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head
It is time that we retire for the night, and I am experiencing a headache

So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed
Therefore, I entrust her with the keys to the vehicle and she assists me to my sleeping quarters

And then I tell her, as I turn out the light
Before falling asleep, I express to her that

I say, 'My darling, you were wonderful tonight
she was, indeed, exceptional tonight

Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight'
I affectionately address her as my darling to emphasize how amazing she was, tonight
