I saw the faceless form
I witnessed a being without a distinct appearance

In the darkness of my dorm
This being appeared in the absence of light in my living quarters

I knew that I was not alone
I had a feeling that there was someone or something else present with me

And I could feel my heart start to moan
I started to feel my heart racing and expressing distress

Tenebrae
This is Latin for 'darkness' and may be a reference to the feeling of being in a dark and foreboding space

The shadows called my name
My attention was drawn to the dark and poorly lit areas around me

And I could feel them start to taunt
I felt as though the shadows were somehow harassing or mocking me

Whispers that spoke of pain
I heard faint voices speaking of hurt or suffering

I knew that I could not ignore
It became clear to me that I couldn't simply disregard what I was experiencing

What the shadows had in store
I understood that there was something sinister lurking in the shadows

And so I ran for the door
I fled the scene and sought safety by leaving the room
