After receiving attention in 2006 for a track released on Advanced Electronics vol3, Faderhead was signed to Accession Records/Indigo and released his debut album "FH1". One year later, he followed up with his sophomore album "FH2".
In 2008, Faderhead parted ways with Accession Records and joined L-Tracks Recordings. On October 10th, the third Faderhead album, aptly titled "FH3" was released.
Faderhead's live show is currently supported by Marco Visconti (of XP8) on keyboards and backing vocals. The Hamburg producer/vocalist uses different musicians for live shows.
Hey Girl
Faderhead Lyrics

Dressing to the sound
A little black, some more white
Gonna hit the town
Drinkin' 'sinthe, feel the buzz
Greet your shallow friends
Dancing wild, costumes fly
Till the party ends
Hey girl!
Hey girl!
With the tapioca skin
Hey girl!
Hey girl!
With the mediocre pose
Start your dance within the flashlight
Of the paparazzi no one knows
Morning breaks, altered state
Time to hit the sheets
Waking dead, check your head
Got the blogs to read
Posting pics, 'cause you're hip
And a beauty queen
Reload the page, wait for praise
Fabricated dreams
The lyrics to Faderhead's song "Hey Girl" depict a scene of a night out on the town with friends - the excitement is high as they dress up, drink "sinthe," and dance wildly until the party ends. The lyrics also touch on the shallow nature of the scene, pointing out that the singer's friends are shallow and that "posting pics" is necessary to stay relevant. The song also makes reference to the paparazzi's flashes, hinting at the idea that the singer is a celebrity or at least involved in the fast-paced, glamorous lifestyle of one.
However, the chorus, with its repeated refrain of "Hey girl!" directed at someone with "tapioca skin" and a "mediocre pose," adds a touch of irony to the song. The singer seems to be both part of this scene and critical of it, suggesting that while they're enjoying the party, they're also aware of its superficiality and are even poking fun at it.
Overall, "Hey Girl" is a catchy, upbeat song with a darker edge that comments on the intersection of party culture, social media, and celebrity in today's society.
