El Amor De Este Pueblo
Federico Aubele Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics of Federico Aubele's song El Amor De Este Pueblo, delve deep into the persona of the singer and his idea of what defines his worth. He claims that he is not valued by the things he has accomplished or the things he has given up, nor by his status or possessions. Instead, he asserts that the only thing that holds any true worth to him is his love for his people and for Perón. This love seems to be something that burns in his heart, that hurts his flesh and causes his nerves to ignite with passion. It is clear that this love is what defines him, lifting him up above any other metric of value.
The song's lyrics are not only about love but also about political activism, with Perón being a reference to Juan Domingo Perón, a former president of Argentina who is still favored by much of the populace even after his death. The lyrics suggest that love for the people and their leaders can inspire powerful emotions and motivate people to action. The song also seems to suggest that being able to love and to feel love for something greater than oneself is what truly makes a person valuable.
