Somewhere Else
Federico Aubele Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Calling from behind
Trying to convince you
Of doing things
Trying to change your mind
I may have some doubts
But I hold this shovel tight
I feel like my life is happening
Somewhere else in some other time
I feel like my life is happening
Somewhere else in some other time
Stress upon by brow
I can't stop my brain
Life unfolds before me
Like a runway train
I may have some doubts
But I hold this shovel tight
Digging in the frozen ground
I feel like my life is happening
Somewhere else in some other time
I feel like my life is happening
Somewhere else in some other time
I feel like my life is happening
Somewhere else in some other time
I feel like my life is happening
Somewhere else in some other time
Que es un fantasma
Sino un momento que se repite
Una y otra vez
Que es un fantasma
Sino un momento que se repite
Una y otra vez
In the song "Somewhere Else," Federico Aubele talks about feeling alienated and disconnected from his present reality. He sings about the pressure of people trying to coerce him into doing things and changing his mind, while he is dealing with doubts and inner turmoil. He uses the metaphor of digging in frozen ground to express the difficulty and laboriousness of dealing with his emotions.
The chorus repeats the line "I feel like my life is happening somewhere else in some other time" to emphasize the feeling of being out of sync with the present moment. The following verse conveys a sense of overwhelming stress and anxiety, where the brain feels like a non-stop train that cannot be tamed. The song ends with the repeated lines in Spanish, where Aubele describes a ghost as a repeated moment that happens over and over again.
Overall, "Somewhere Else" is a song about feeling disconnected from oneself and the world, and the struggle to find balance and peace within.

One of the best song ever.
The lyrics, the sound are bringing you in another city that feels you’ve been in before, but you are completely disoriented. There are visions of fire and the smells are a warm embrace of leather and wood.
