Holding On
Ferry Corsten Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And moonlight fading as you walk away.
And all the roads that lead me to your heart
Have gone astray
My hands are tied behind my back,
And I'm weakened by, your slow attack,
You take me in, then change your mind again.
Your spinning wheel won't lead me to your view,
And all the words I need to hear from you,
I'm holding on but guess I'm out of luck,
And still in love with you
My hands are tied behind my back,
And I'm weakened by, your slow attack,
You take me in, then change your mind again.
Hold my face, in your hands, look into my eyes
So understand, all the thoughts, inside your mind
Tell me it's time
My hands are tied behind my back,
And I'm weakened by, your slow attack,
You take me in, then change your mind again.
You take me in, then change your mind again.
The lyrics to Ferry Corsten's song "Holding On" paint a picture of a person struggling to maintain a relationship that seems to be slipping away. The falling sky and fading moonlight provide a visual backdrop for the emotional turmoil that is being described. All the roads that once led to the person's lover's heart have gone astray, leaving them feeling lost and unable to reconnect.
The singer's hands are tied behind their back, indicating a sense of powerlessness in the situation. They are weakened by the slow attack of their lover's indecisiveness, which ultimately leads to them being taken in and then rejected once again. Despite this, the singer continues to hold on to their love for their partner, even though they are out of luck.
In the chorus, the singer implores their lover to hold their face in their hands and look into their eyes. They want their partner to understand the thoughts inside their mind and to tell them that it's time to make a decision about the future of their relationship. However, the singer acknowledges that their fate is out of their hands, as their lover has the power to take them in and change their mind again.
Overall, "Holding On" is a deeply emotional song that captures the pain and confusion of being in a troubled relationship. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt powerless to control their own destiny when it comes to matters of the heart.

Песня просто нуждается в полноценном клипе! А ещё в обновлении качества звучания, с более глубоким звуком. А вообще прошло 13 лет с момента её появления, а до сих пор любой кто её услышит скажет что песня СУПЕР!
