Okay
Finding hope Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh I feel it too
Life feels like a mess
And sometimes I get stressed
Oh I feel it too
Leave the world away
And never leave my bed

Let me tell you
What I know
What I know is
You're not alone

I'll be okay
You'll be okay too
All you need is time
To get you through
I'll be okay
You'll be okay too
Life can seem so hard
But it's so beautiful too

Oh I feel it too
Every now and then
I could use a friend
Oh I feel it too
Overthink again
And never leave my head

Let me tell you
What I know
What I know is
You're not alone

I'll be okay
You'll be okay too
All you need is time
To get you through
I'll be okay
You'll be okay too

Life can seem so hard
But it's so beautiful too

This is a short story I made for this pic.......

We were walking down the bridge her hand was warm and she couldn’t stop smiling. I wish I could smile with her.
“God isn’t the sky so beautiful right now babe?”
She asked me I looked up at the pool of colors above me radiant pinks and blues mixing like a soup.
“Yeah I guess”
The wind picked up a little bit and she shivered and leaned in close
“It’s so quiet..”
She whispered, we stopped to look out at the river below us. She hopped on the railing smiling at me in her bright red jacket. Then she asked it.
“Babe what’s wrong?”
And I broke my mask of calm shattered at the sound of her voice at that look in her eyes. All of my walls came down. As I began to sob like a child. Her face was shocked.
“Hey hey hey babe it’s ok it’s ok what’s wrong? what’s wrong? Baby?”
The concern in her voice just made it even more bitter sweet.
“Come here babe”
She held out her arms and I fell into them still sobbing like an idiot. She just sat there and held me. Letting me cry into her jacket that smelled like her sweet perfume.
“Sshhh Shhh It’s ok baby I’m here ok babe I’m right here and I’m not going anywhere.............”
and so I stood there and just cried into her lap as the sun set and strangers passed us by with concerned looks.............

Reminds me of what my best friend said when he was sick, "I'll be okay, you'll be okay too" He said something just like that but then he died a week later. I can't get over this song, it even sounds like his voice, I guess everything does in my head now that I think about it.

@@ninari8917 Things have been getting better for me, I've been having really good luck since he died, I like to think of it as his spirit and not that he was holding me back because he truly wasn't. Thanks for that though, you're a good person, you should know that.
