Wow... i been listening to a lot of Christian/gospel hip hop and that soulful sins you hear from the instruments and singers is not in the rap and instrumental aspect of it. Poetry/spoken word is different in delivery than rapping. Hip hop is much on life support. The heart that keeps hip hop going is the underground and artists that reside there. Secular hip hop is way way different than gospel hip hop, especially lyrically. You can't just take a secular hip hop beat and put so called Christian rap lyrics on it and call it gospel rap. when i listen to hip-hop i listen to the words and most of the christian rappers i've listened to so far do not blaspheme the name of the Lord,and all that is associated wit' Him. i used to listen to secular hip-hop and the words they say..whew..i even cursed myself singing along wit' them. i believe in originality as far as the beat is concerned and i think if u imitate somebody's beat who is a secular rapper u not being real and that just being lazy... Christian rap has to serve one purpose only and that purpose is to glorify the Creator, if it aint doin dat, then to me it is not gospel hip-hop. It has to preach the gospel...

What you must do is very easy to understand. Right now you know your condition of being in danger of going to hell. Go to Matthew chapter 5 and read this parable Jesus is giving because Jesus is telling us STEP by STEP what it takes for a person to be SAVED.

When Jesus says blessed are the "poor" in spirit, He's referring to those who acknowledge their wretchedness/misery due to not being approved of God. It appears that this is the step that YOU are at. If you can agree to that then understand that this is the very BEGINNING of how God wants you to be which leads to the next STEP of how He wants you to be.

The next step is to mourn. Stop trying to make yourself "happy" with the things in this world because it doesn't truly work, obviously. Stop trying to comfort yourself with anything apart from God because it takes your mind off of your miserable condition which will take your mind away from trying to walk this path that God wants you to walk. Let God lead you to happiness. I can continue if you are with me so far...

I didn't grow up in Christian family, and trust me that comes with hardships of its own. You know, it's hard to have wisdom and discern God if you haven't grown up with him. Also, not having a Christian father to talk to about manly issues is hard. But God helps me through too :) I've often envied people who grow up Christian households, but I've been coming to see that every lifestyle comes with its own difficulites. God bless you man!

This song is like all of our testimonies, no matter how long you’ve walked with Jesus Christ. We all have to come to that place where we realize that there is no better place than at the foot of the cross on your knees waiving our white flag saying God we surrender. It’s must be a daily decision, not just a one time prayer we prayed asking Jesus to come into our heart and be our Lord and savior. It must be a daily conscious decision to pick up the cross and follow Him. It won’t be easy but with God on our side we have nothing to fear.

I been having doubts that God is there for me in the last week I loss my grandma then they come to take my boys while I'm at the funeral but I have come to the point in my life if God takes me and shakes me up then I need to change I need to wake up I have to make this change for my babies so they will want to know God. Grandma and Jesus watch over us please and help us as we make this change....
