With the release of Serpentine two years later, the band would build on the work they did with Jade, adding a slightly more up tempo, less depressing sound. After the release of Serpentine, Stefanie Duchêne had to leave the band. Her pregnancy was incompatible with the high sights of the band. She is currently working on her solo career. Their current vocalist is Helen Vogt. With a sound similar to that of Serpentine, and Vogt's vocal similarities with Stefanie Duchêne's vocals, the band released their 5th studio album, Razorbliss.
On October 20, 2004, just seven months after the release of "Razorbliss", two founding members of Flowing Tears, Björn Lorson and Cristian Zimmer, died in a car accident.
Exactly 4 years after the accident, on October 20, 2008 they released their sixth studio album, titled Thy Kingdom Gone. It is a concept album containing 12 songs, along with artwork made by Seth Siro Anton, who is known for doing artwork with Moonspell, Soilwork, and Paradise Lost.

Razorbliss
Flowing Tears Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
War where we run, where we ride, where we burn
Comfort the blind
Serpents to God
Pray for the night
When the seed will understand
Carry the light
It's razorbliss for you!
Of godhuman nature
It's razorbliss for all
Get down for the maker
Ignite a fire to save us all
War where we go, where we hide, where we turn
War where we run, where we ride, where we burn
Break up the fight
Wait for your call
Pray for the time
When we scream your name again
Sent to deny
Ready to crawl all alone
This razor's meant for you!
The lyrics of "Razorbliss" by Flowing Tears describe a world torn apart by war where there seems to be no place to escape from the devastation. War follows the characters everywhere they go, no matter where they hide or run to. The repetition of “War where we…” emphasises the overwhelming and inescapable nature of it. The lines “Comfort the blind, pray for the night, carry the light” suggest a need to provide guidance and hope to those affected by the conflict. The references to serpents and God, and the line “Get down for the maker,” could represent the struggle between good and evil, and the need to turn to a higher power for salvation.
The chorus “It’s razorbliss for you” suggests a point of no return, and also the temptation of the destructive euphoria of war. The next verse encourages the listener to “Ignite a fire to save us all” which provides a glimmer of hope among the destruction. The final verse calls for a break-up in fighting and the need to wait for guidance, again acknowledging the need for hope and guidance in a world of chaos. The final line, “This razor’s meant for you” is ambiguous and could be interpreted to mean either the hopelessness of the situation or the need to face one’s own responsibility in the conflict. Overall, “Razorbliss” is a powerful song that challenges the listener to confront the consequences of humanity's tendency towards violence and the need to seek a brighter future.
