The lyrics of Frank Edwards's "Oya" express the artist's gratitude to God for his constant blessings and unfailing love. The song begins with a joyful affirmation of God's goodness and faithfulness to His promises. Edwards acknowledges that whenever he calls upon God, He answers and blesses him abundantly without fail. The artist is assured of God's constant presence, and it's evident in the fact that God never lies, fails, or sleeps, which is why he's singing this song of praise as it is his testimony. In the chorus, the artist urges everyone to join in lifting Jesus higher in praise and worship, recognizing that God is all-powerful, and nothing is too big for Him. The song ends with a playful reference to Edwards's hometown, where he acknowledges God's love and blessings on both the rich and the poor.
