Their atmospheric style seamlessly bridges the gap between indie anthem-folk and modern indie folk, creating a sad and melancholic sound. Their style is often considered cinematic, or as they like to say, "it’s movie-like." They have been largely influenced by other indie folk artists such as Bon Iver, Novo Amor, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Gallipoli’s debut EP, On Vodno, mixed by Peter Katis (The National, Kurt Vile, The Swell Season) includes the songs "Pick Me Up Tonight," "Blurry Mess," "Poets," and "My, My." The songs performed well, appearing on several American TV shows, "Station 19" and "Night Sky," as well as appearing on several Spotify indie folk playlists such as “Folk & Friends”.
Their recent single, "St. Clements," continues to explore their modern indie folk and atmospheric style as we follow a young couple on a date as they wander around an old city.

St. Clements
Gallipoli Lyrics
We step inside St. Clement's church
Listen to mass, not knowing a word
It's funny how you and I don't see
You point out a painting, what does it mean?
I think it's the story about the Three Kings
You turn around to look at me
Then you say, can you come close 'cause
I, I wanna hold your hand
I, I wanna hold your hand
Skimming through the library
So many words that we'll never read
It's funny what you and I won't see
You pick up an old nameless book
Is there something we're missing that they understood?
You turn around to look at me
Then you say, can you come close 'cause
I, I wanna hold your hand
I, I wanna hold your hand
Don't you think that we can be so small
Don't you think that we can be so wrong
Do you think that we will make it till the end?
I don't know
I don't know
Listen to mass, not knowing a word
It's funny how you and I don't see
You point out a painting, what does it mean?
I think it's the story about the Three Kings
You turn around to look at me
Then you say, can you come close 'cause
I, I wanna hold your hand
I, I wanna hold your hand
Skimming through the library
It's funny what you and I won't see
You pick up an old nameless book
Is there something we're missing that they understood?
You turn around to look at me
Then you say, can you come close 'cause
I, I wanna hold your hand
I, I wanna hold your hand
Don't you think that we can be so small
Don't you think that we can be so wrong
Do you think that we will make it till the end?
I don't know
I don't know
