Their atmospheric style seamlessly bridges the gap between indie anthem-folk and modern indie folk, creating a sad and melancholic sound. Their style is often considered cinematic, or as they like to say, "it’s movie-like." They have been largely influenced by other indie folk artists such as Bon Iver, Novo Amor, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Gallipoli’s debut EP, On Vodno, mixed by Peter Katis (The National, Kurt Vile, The Swell Season) includes the songs "Pick Me Up Tonight," "Blurry Mess," "Poets," and "My, My." The songs performed well, appearing on several American TV shows, "Station 19" and "Night Sky," as well as appearing on several Spotify indie folk playlists such as “Folk & Friends”.
Their recent single, "St. Clements," continues to explore their modern indie folk and atmospheric style as we follow a young couple on a date as they wander around an old city.

Yesterday: I got fired.
on the subway I came looking at the landscape, the hills, the clouds, the people around .
and this song hit me.
and everything was together, so I realized that life is much more than we want and what we think. I could see the feelings of each one around me and even the feelings of the city - Rio de Janeiro.
life is much more than we call life.
and much more than living.
But how good it is to be alive.
Beirut always makes me feel like this.
Amo vocês

We tell tales to belong
Or be spared the sorrow
You're so fair to be hold
What will be left when you're gone?
And it changed everything you know
How we were when the wonders who love
Southern land, scattered clouds from the cold
And, oh, oh, oh, spare me the glow
Chris Hernandez
We tell tales to be known
Or be spared the sorrow
You're so fair to behold
What will be left when you're gone?
And it shakes everything you know
How we were when the waters were low
Southern winds scattered clouds from the cove
And oh oh oh oh spare me the blow
Federica Morra
I'll never have enough of this beautiful song. Thanks Beirut

Passando por aqui novamente. Beirut é realmente transcendental...

What a song, I've been hiking in northern Sweden, no network, no humans just nature. This song brought tears to my eyes and so much joy, to be there in this time, in this moment. An experience I'll never forget.
António Rodrigues
Esta música salvou-me o dia, como no passado, em desespero, a boa música me salvou a vida. Sê positivo e para ti o Sol vai voltar a brilhar, se não for hoje amanhã será. Vai uma forcinha desde Lisboa.

Greetings from awesome Liverpool...you are quite right
Life is more than 'normal' perception
The horns on this song prove the point...just a noise but transformative
James (the Manchester band) utilise in a similar fashion to the excellent Beirut
