Cold Wind Blowing
Ganga Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Let the sand mean I love you less
I'm under the surfers in slow motion
You still my number in once circumstance
Does a cold wind blowing in my brain?
Does a cold wind driving me insane?
Does a beat keep turning?
Does a cold wind blowing in my brain?
Does a cold wind driving me insane?
And does a beat keep turning?
Well does a cold wind blowing?
You are my only time hide in the ...
You are my prime time so first time
You are my first, last max nature forest
You are the first, you are the last, I miss your touch
You are my only time hide in the ...
You are my prime time so first time
You are my first, last max nature forest
You are my first, you are my last, I miss your touch
You are my only time hide in the ...
You are my prime time so first time
You are my first, last max nature forest
You are my first, you are my last, I miss your touch
Does a cold wind blowing in my brain?
Does a cold wind driving me insane?
And does a beat keep turning?
Well does a cold wind blowing?
The lyrics to Ganga's song "Cold Wind Blowing" present a poetic and introspective reflection on the dynamics of love and its complications. The imagery of falling to the bottom of the ocean and letting the sand mean "I love you less" suggests a sense of resignation or detachment from a relationship that may have lost its passion or depth. The line "You still my number in once circumstance" evokes a sense of nostalgic attachment to a past lover or relationship, even though it may no longer hold the same meaning or significance.
The repeated refrain of "Does a cold wind blowing in my brain? Does a cold wind driving me insane?" creates a haunting and melancholic mood, as if the singer is questioning their own emotional stability and the impact of their feelings on their psyche. The reference to a "beat" that keeps turning suggests a sense of cyclical or repetitive patterns in relationships, where love and pain can often coexist and feed off each other.
The second half of the song continues with the theme of nostalgia and longing, as the singer addresses their lover as "my only time hide in the..." and "my prime time so first time." The use of natural imagery such as "max nature forest" evokes a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty and complexity of love, while also underscoring its fragility and impermanence.
Overall, "Cold Wind Blowing" presents a poignant meditation on the joys and sorrows of love, and the ways in which it can shape and transform our inner worlds. The lyrics invite the listener to reflect on their own experiences of love and loss, and to embrace the complexities of the human heart.
