Me in tutto il mondo

Se mi potessi sentire ogni volta che chiamo te
tu mi beveresti nel bicchiere che bevi
mi leggeresti nel libro che leggi
Me e solo me potresti amare
me e solo me potresti vedere in tutto il mondo
tu mi vedresti in ogni sguardo che vedi
vedresti me me solo me
in tutto il mondo
Me solo me potresti amare
me solo me potresti vedere tutto il mondo
tu mi vedresti in ogni sguardo che vedi
mi baceresti in ogni donna che baci
vedresti me solo me, solo me, solo me
in tutto il mondo
In the song "Me in tutto il mondo" by Gino Paoli, the lyrics speak of a deep longing for someone's love and attention. The singer wishes that the person they love could see them every time they think of them and hear them every time they call out to them. The imagery used is intimate, as they imagine being consumed by the person's actions, drinking from the same glass and reading from the same book. The lyrics emphasize the uniqueness of the singer, indicating that only that person could love them in the way they need and see them in every corner of the world. The person is envisioned to recognize the singer in every glance and kiss the singer in every woman they kiss. The chorus repeats the idea of the person only seeing and loving the singer, as they would be the only one visible to them in the whole world.
The song speaks to the notion of being seen and loved for who we genuinely are. The singer wants to be loved wholly and purely by one person and imagined being recognizable in every interaction that person has. There is a sense of isolation in wanting the depth of connection and love that is only possible with one particular person. The repetition of "me solo me" highlights this isolation and longing for someone who can love them uniquely.
