La Isabel
Gossos Lyrics

The lyrics of Gossos's song La Isabel speak about a woman who feels unfulfilled and unsatisfied with her life. She is envious of "La Isabel," who is famous and successful, with a "torero" husband and a lover in parliament, and who appears on television and in magazines. The woman in the song feels trapped in her everyday routine of going to the market to buy fish and having a husband who never appreciates her. She longs for more, to be seen and heard on a larger stage, and to be as successful and renowned as "La Isabel."
The song highlights the universal desire for fame and recognition that many people experience, regardless of their socioeconomic background or circumstances. At the same time, it also touches on the loneliness, envy, and frustration that can accompany this desire. The song suggests that we all have the potential to achieve our dreams, but sometimes we lack the opportunities, resources, and support to make them come true. The woman in the song feels stuck in her current situation, but she ultimately holds onto a glimmer of hope that someday, she too may become famous and successful like "La Isabel."
