His first solo album,'The Sky is Too High', was released in 1998 and has a very muted, uncommercial sound. 'TSITH' was followed by 'The Golden D' which features two covers of the band Mission Of Burma. The next album to come was 'Crow Sit On Blood Tree', which has some of his most ethereal tracks to date on, and is very lo-fi. Fourth album 'The Kiss Of Morning' shows Graham developing as an artist in his own right and the songs take on a more fleshed out and accomplished form. However, it was not until the release of 'Freakin' Out' in 2004 that Coxon had a solo mainstream hit. 'Happiness In Magazines', Graham's fifth album, is largely considered to be his most accessible and complete work, featuring frantic, slick guitar-pop of the highest order.
In 2006 Graham Coxon released his sixth solo album, 'Love Travels at Illegal Speeds', preceeded by the UK Top 20 single 'Standing On My Own Again'. 'Love Travels at Illegal Speeds' shows Coxon branching out to try his hand at some new sounds as well as tightening the punk-pop formula that is his hallmark. The album was released in two formats, with a DVD containing interviews and live tracks as an optional extra.
It marks Coxon's first album away from his now-defunct indie label 'Transcopic'. Coxon also played guitar on Peter Doherty's 2009 solo album Grace / Wastelands.
11th May 2009, Coxon released his 7th album 'The Spinning Top'. 2009 saw Coxon embark on numerous gigs with Blur, including headlining Glastonbury Festival.

Bittersweet Bundle Of Misery
Graham Coxon Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Lying awake at night, so wired, and fired
Up with biological urge, in my belly
And a head full of words and my tele
Caster spinnin' faster
Goodnight you
You're beautiful
You're really cool
I like the way we fight right through the night
And the way you used to kiss was way out of sight
But I could never hope to set you free
Cause you're my bittersweet bundle of misery
As I study the lines on the ceiling
I find the fact you're unkind quite appealing
I'm feeling
Sure that I have come to the end of your tether
And there's no such thing as happily ever
After, it just gets dafter
Goodnight you
You're beautiful
I love to watch your face in the morning light
You're really cool
I like the way we fight right through the night
And the way you used to kiss was way out of sight
But I could never hope to set you free
Cause you're my bittersweet bundle of misery
It would take me an age to marry you
Now I've seen you use my razor like you do
It's true
You're beautiful
I love to watch your face in the morning light
You're really cool
I like the way we fight right through the night
And the way you used to kiss was way out of sight
But I could never hope to set you free
Cause you're my bittersweet bundle of misery
The lyrics of "Bittersweet Bundle of Misery" by Graham Coxon explores the conflicted feelings that come with being in a relationship that is both desirable and toxic. The singer expresses his exhaustion and sleeplessness due to the emotional turmoil he is experiencing. He is torn between his physical desires for his partner and the emotional pain that their relationship causes him. He concedes that his lover is beautiful and genuinely cool, but he finds comfort in the unhealthy aspects of their fights and unkindness.
The singer also acknowledges that he cannot bring himself to leave the relationship despite its toxicity. He admits that he could never hope to set his lover free because she is his "bittersweet bundle of misery." Thus, the song is a bittersweet meditation on the complexities of love and relationships, where the singer is caught up in the intense emotions of both love and pain.
